Suncoast Truck & Equipment Sales Reviews (%countItem)

I paid for a tractor trailer truck back in may 2019 and while talking to Suncoast office sales person about the information on the truck they told me that the truck have in a cummings engine so I went ahead and paid 18500.00 for the truck. three days later I called the company in question and spoke to the same sales person and asked her to tell me again for surety what type of engine does the truck have she told me a maxforce13 engine. I told her I will call her back I will have to contact my machanic and see if this engine will work for my area due to the hills. when I contacted my machanic and explained to him the engine type he told me that engine will not work so I should cancel the deal. I called back the dealer and cancelled the truck the very same day and I explained to them why I was cancelling. they told me that they can get me another truck but for more money, I told the sales rep. that I just need back the money I will find something else. she continued to offer me other trucks for more money but I was not interested at this point. I went ahead and found something else at another dealer which I called them and told them that I need back the money so I can purchase this truck to get my business going but I had no luck. I spoke to the owner steve *** and he told me that he will have to take off money from my 18500.00 for some kind of tax. I ask him howmuch will the tax cost me he said about 500.00. I agreed and asked him to send the balance which is 18000.00 to my account. I received 4000.00 a few months after I had to beg and plead with them. I received another 5000.00 months after that, asking why cant I get back all my money at once the lady in the office named milu told me that the bank does not allow them to send out money and if so they cant send more than 5000.00 to a customer. I have been begging calling messaging and there is no answer. one day in September I got steve and he told me he had his rent to pay and he don't have any money.

In early March 2019 we, Suncoast Truck & Equipment Sales, received a call from Mr. about a 2013 International Prostar tractor we had advertised and listed on our web site as well as several other social sites. The complete specifications are shown on every listing. At that time all Prostars in my inventory were powered by Max Force engines, which are not well accepted and the selling prices listed were dramatically less than other tractors for that reason. Mr *** was never told this tractor had an engine other that what was advertised. We sent him an estimate on March 15th and then upon his request an invoice on May 1st. At that time we paid the floor plan and received the title as well as remove both the air shield on the roof and the exhaust stack at the customers request in order to lower his shipping costs. Two to three weeks after all this I received a call from Mr *** telling me his mechanic told him not to buy the tractor because of the engine. I told him I have another truck for a few less dollars with a Cummins engine and he informed me he already bought another truck. I had to re-floor his truck and re-attach the parts removed. I told him I would refund his money when I resold the tractor he paid for. The tractor has not sold as of this date. Even so, I send him most his money back and I will do more when it sells. It was not my fault that he did not know what he was buying, as I stated earlier the complete specs are listed on every add. He bought and paid for the tractor and then was told by his mechanic to buy a truck with a different engine. Almost every statement Mr *** has written is incorrect and inflammatory.

I have been told many times by milu that the money was in my account. she promise me and even sent me shaded copies of wire info. that she did the wire and its the bank that have it hold. I have been calling for months and even got a story from steve *** about him not receiving a salary for months.
I have all the watsap conversation between me and milu.

all I need is my 9500.00 back. I don't have time with the blame game and he say she say story.
this is a company that does business with people everyday and I find it hard to not receive my money that should have been in my account months ago.

Suncoast Truck & Equipment Sales Response • Dec 31, 2019

I can't speak to Milu's comments but I find it hard to believe she would send proof of payment when no payment was made. I am out of town but will check into this when I return. It states on all invoices that all sales are finial. However I did tell mr *** that I would send back his payment once I resold the truck he bought. I believe we just found a buyer and will send him the balance of his payment minus any expense I acquired in the process of trying to resell the truck he bought and I sold him in good faith. If mr *** did not know what he was buying, he should never have bought it. And as I stated before complete specs are in all ads. In truth I had no obligation to help him and not have done anything. Hopefully when he receives the balance he will be satisfied. I am truly sorry for his situation but it is a situation of his making. To mr ***, I am sorry this whole episode took place and hope it is resolved to his satisfaction. Also, I suggest the next time he makes a purchase he knows what he is paying for. In all the years in business I have never encountered this and hope not to ever again.
