Update 4 months after placed gun order ($3000 two guns) , John Tidd is a total Con job and waste of life. Promises up and down, overpromises never delivers. Claims to be a gun show promotor and FFL, but "only answers phone at the start of the week...On wednesday from 12-2". If only that were true...

Not even a return phone call after he took my money, He spoke to my friend who was less demanding than I was for an order update and yelled at my friend about me, even though he never returned a call from me. Phone is usually off and when its on (rings), he lets it go to voicemail. Has no business cards, Only his useless website with his "personal" phone number which is all over the internet.

Not even worthy of a "terrible" business man, he is a total con artist. WIll not deliver, will not return calls, lies and has a new excuse everytime he spoke (to my friend regarding our orders). Stay away, save yourself the stress.

Had to take legal action to get money back as his phone was always off and never returned my calls.

This is the only way I can get back at this fraudster, to alert others to stay away. The worst things from other reviews about their experiences, I have experienced myself. Do not trust this man, he will take your money and run, dont believe a word he says. He alsy tries to be manipulative in his words, always repeating "youll be happy I promise well be doing business for a long time etc" to my friend regardless of our frustration.

Stay away from a snake like this

No matter the "price" he promises you, you will be out that much money and stress. This is is a low IQ Con artist.

Horrible business owner. Never received My rifle and have been told every week for the past two months that he needs one more week. He also refuses to give me my money back. I will be taking legal action. I will also be warning people that try to buy guns from him at future shows that I will attend. He always has an excuse.

Hey I am in a similar situation - no communication and thus far two pushback and now no answer. Have you taken any actions? Also he promised to call but no callbacks and his number goes to VM. says he has no other way of contacting him. Have you pursued any action?

Review: I paid $68.00 for 4 magazines for a [redacted] rifle on December 29, 2012. I never received the product. Despite several calls by me to the business voicemail, they have never called back. Another fellow who paid at the same time as myself has not recieved his either and confronted the owner at a gun show and was told that he would soon recieve the product but that was more than 6 months ago.

There are other businesses currently selling this product and they have availability, so that is not a valid excuse.Desired Settlement: Either deliver my order or return my money for the whole order, the rifle has not been used yet.

Review: On December 29, 2012, I purchased a [redacted] 715T from John T[redacted], the owner of Sundown Gun Shop at a gun show in Oaks, PA. I also ordered and paid for 4 additional magazines from John. He said he would have to order them and would ship them to me as soon as they came in. I have called him several times and also seen him at other gun shows. Each time, I get the same answer: the magazines are coming in and I am filling the orders as I get them. "You're at the top of the list."

I know he now has them, as my friend and I each purchased the same rifle and ordered and paid for 4 additional magazines at the same time at the gun show. My friend received his magazines on November 7, 2014, shortly after filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. It seems apparent that the owner has the magazines, but is ignoring people like me who have paid for the items and are waiting almost 2 years.

I am hopeful of the same result.Desired Settlement: Either deliver the 4 magazines which I paid for in the next week, or refund me the $400 I paid for the rifle and magazines and I'll return the rifle. It's brand new and has never been taken out of the box. Without the additional magazines, the rifle is not worth owning.

Review: I ordered a rifle from this shop in July of 2013. $750 was charged to my credit card. After several months I had still not received the rifle. For the past 2 months the owner has been saying he will send me a check with the refund for the full $750 which I have yet to receive. The owner [redacted] keeps on telling me he mailed the check but I have never received it.Desired Settlement: I would like my $750 back.
