Review: I ordered 12 SunGrabber Solar Panels, 2 of which arrived with holes which were noticed after installation. They are not replacing them.

I ordered the 12 2'X20' Sungrabber Solar Pool Heater with Roof/Rack Mounting Kit panels through a reseller on eBay on 4/27/2013. After receiving and installing the panels, we had noticed there were leaks coming 2 of the panels. We contacted SunGrabber and the reseller and were told to send pictures of the leaks which was done. We were then asked to provide pictures of the serials numbers, which was also done. We then got a third request for pictures of every panel in the set up, including serials numbers and any damage to the panels. After the third email and about 25 pictures, we were told that because of the way they were installed they would not honor the exchange on the damaged panels. The problem I am having is they arrived in this fashion and in no way did the installation of the panel damage it. Apparently the fact that the panel is installed Vertically as opposed to Horizontally puts pre-exsisting holes in them, therefore they would not be able to replace anything. I'm just asking that I get the full set, with no leaks, as I paid for. They did send me plugs to "help" but I just want them to not have holes in them when I buy a new set. They could have seen from the very first set of pictures that they were installed Vertically. There would have been no reason to send me back and forth a second and third time, asking for more ridiculous pictures. They wasted a lot of my time with this back and forth and at this point I am not happy with how that was handled. I also have emails assuring me the panels would be replaced as long as I provide the pictures of the leaks which I have done. Desired Settlement: I'm looking for the 2 defective leaking panels to be replaced as they arrived with holes in them. The serial numbers of which are XXXXXX-XXXXXXXX and XXXXXX-XXXXXXXX. Again I was assured they would be replaced, provided I sent pictures of the leaks. They then wanted pictures of all the panels then again the entire set up, etc.

FAFCO, INC. will send (2) new 2x20 SunGrabber Solar panels to the homeowner as requested. The collectors will be shipped the week of 7/8/2013 directly to the homeowner. It is critically important all the collectors be installed per the published installation guidelines so no further problems arise.

Review: SunGrabber is refusing to replace 10 defective solar panels and cover such replacement at 70% of the retail price. They are only willing to cover 50% of the warranty because they don't "feel" I've complied with their installation requirements. I'm fully compliant with the install requirements. All portions of the panels, including the headers are fully supported.

SunGrabber previously replaced a panel in 2011 after seeing pictures of the same installation. Now that 10 panels are defective, they are refusing to honor the terms of their written warranty.

I've left several voice mails and sent several emails, without the courtesy of a return phone call or substantive response to my emails.Desired Settlement: I'm requesting the Revdex.com to help mediate the dispute as SunGrabber has gone silent on me.

On May 3, 2013 the homeowner was shipped new collectors at the 70% proration he requested. Our records show they were delivered on May 7, 2013. It is our understanding since FAFCO completely complied with the homeowner's request, that he is satisfied and this situation has been fully resolved.
