Tell us why On 12/29/17 at 8:02am we were called by [redacted] with an emergency call that their water lines were frozen.  We arrived about an hour and 30 min of their call to assess problem.  Upon arrival we noticed the water line was disconnected under the trailer and the water was...

off.  The technician (Kevin) went to the mobile home park office and asked them if they shut the water off, and they said yes because it was spraying.  Kevin had the maintenance guys meet him there where they went over everything.  Kevin gave Mr. [redacted] prices to complete the work and he said he needed to talk to his brother because he indicated he didn’t have the money for us to do the work.  Because of this we needed to make sure that we were going to be paid before we could even start the work.   When we received the money, we started working.  We replaced the broken line with new piping and added heat tape.  We had some insulation, but it wasn't staying on, so Kevin told Mr. [redacted] we could go get some and install it, but he didn't like the price for us to do this.  Kevin told him that it needed some and Mr. [redacted] said he would do it himself to save money.  Kevin also told him he should cut some plywood to put up against the house since the underpinnings were missing to stop the wind from blowing underneath.  Kevin helped him put a space heater in the water box to keep it warm and water was flowing when he left. Mr. [redacted] seemed very happy.Then again on New Year’s Day at 11:08am (we were closed) Mr. [redacted] called again and left a voicemail stating his pipes were frozen again.  When we received the call the next day we sent Kevin back out and he arrived at 8:22am to assess the situation again to see if it was anything caused by what we did or not.  We also sent out another technician to verify.  The other technician as well as Kevin both attested to the fact that what we did to get them going (what they had paid us to do) had nothing to do with the frozen lines.  The frozen lines were a direct result of Mr. [redacted] not insulating the lines as he said he was going to do to save money.  Mr. [redacted] also did nothing to keep cold air from entering under the trailer as Kevin had suggested he do (to cut plywood and to cover the opening).  However, because Mr. [redacted] was so upset, we went ahead and performed the other work that he refused to pay us for the first time, at no charge, which was to further insulate the lines.The owner, Mr. Sunkel drove by the home several hours later and noticed that Mr. [redacted] still had not put anything over the opening under the trailer to stop the movement of cold air.Mr. [redacted] failed to do what we had told him to do and what he said he would do after we had made our suggestions to him.  What we were paid to do, we did.  When we were done the first time there were no leaks and water was flowing. We cannot prevent pipes from freezing when it is so cold out and customers don’t take the suggested preventable measures to mitigate these things from happening.  For your knowledge, here were the actual low temperatures that were reported that week (again we performed our work on 12/29):WED 12/27 Actual Temp -6°THU 12/28 Actual Temp -1°FRI 12/29 Actual Temp 11°SAT 12/30 Actual Temp -2°SUN 12/31 Actual Temp -7°MON 1/1 Actual Temp -16°TUE 1/2 Actual Temp -14°WED 1/3 Actual Temp -3°THU 1/4 Actual Temp -5°FRI 1/5 Actual Temp -2°SAT 1/6 Actual Temp -7°Also, later that morning, we received several reviews online, that were very vulgar, to Facebook and Google (which these sites have since removed according to their policies).  We also received a Facebook message.  This is a private message we have saved that was sent to us on Facebook on Tuesday 1/2/18 at 11:50am.  Our automated response is part of it.  We have not initiated any further communication with this customer. I apologize for having to put their vulgar language here for you to see, but you need to see it to see the kind of people we are dealing with.  This is the message:TUE 11:50AM[redacted]: Believe me, if we could have given a zero for a rating, we would have. That female dog that answered the phone there who claims she is in charge, she lied on my husband, saying he was a jerk to the workers that came out to fix our frozen pipes. She is a liar. The whole company is a cheat. If Kevin told that lie, he should go straight to ... for that lie.  >:-( Your company cheated us out of money, asking $1,065 to do all of nothing! You all are cheats! And your work does not last, and is very, very cheaply done. You should be ashamed of yourselves! Disgusting cheats!!! Lazy [redacted]!!! Yes, I said it. You don't like it, [redacted] all of you there in that office! Lying, cheating [redacted]!!! We will tell EVERYONE what sort of a company you are!Sunkel Plumbing:Thanks for messaging us.
