We had originally hired Sunland Cleaning to Install a shower door. We originally thought the price was good but soon found out that it was not. We paid $200 for the installation and removal for the old door. The shower door doesn't stay closed. We didn't realize this before we hired him for another job to paint the interior of our house. We soon realized that he had bitten off more than he could chew. He never showed up on time, if at all. His invoice stated $2288.13 but that the deposit would strictly be $500. They charged us 50% up front - after we purchased over $600 worth of paint ourselves. After paying the $1144.81 he insisted we pay for things as he completed them. He kept on adding things onto the bill afterwards. We told him to pay the balance so we could be done. The balance was $1143.32. He then charged us $1925.19 - an overage of $781.87. He also never came back to finish the work - my house is ruined. He was supposed to paint my trim, base boards, doors etc and didn't finish. My ceiling is full of squares because he didn't paint it right. They didn't clean and haven't refunded any money for the overcharges. This was at the 6 week point of him originally stating it would take him 2-3 days. The $1144.81 was for the 'deposit'. He was supposed to charge us $1143.32 for the balance and instead charged us $1925.19. He overcharged us $781.87. Instead of disputing the entire transaction because I will now have to hire a new professional to complete the task since he never completed the work he quoted in the first place. The invoice charged $270 for cleaning and charged $500 for all doors and baseboards upstairs and more for downstairs. Essentially I've lost twice this amount. Extremely disappointed with the quality and professionalism of this company and I would never recommend or hire the again.

Billing Adjustment I want my money back.
We were not aware that the shower door was not staying closed and they complain to us about such a thing. We would have fixed it if they would have brought to our attention. It probably just needed a little adjustment.
As far as the painting we told them a $500 deposit was required. That is all we asked for before starting the job. They insisted paying up front for all the labor to get it out of the way. So we accepted. As we were painting they wanted additional painting done for their ceilings. This was not discussed at the beginning. Their walls had dark paint and they wanted everything white. So extra coats of paint were required on some of the surfaces. It did take longer than anticipated. One of the issues that was delaying the job to get done was the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the other issues was due to a family matters that needed to be attended to during the covid-19. We totally understand their frustration due to the delay. We wish they would have stayed in communication with us. Our intention was to refund the $270 for the cleaning that decided at last minute not to have done, which is understandable. Our issue is that they went behind our backs and disputed a random amount of $781.87 without communication and it was unauthorized transaction deducted from our account. The funds were not there and because of this unauthorized transaction the bank closed our account. So we communicated to them that we *** mail them a cashiers check in the amount of $500. Some of that refund is for the cleaning that wasn't done and the rest is for the doors that were unfinished. All we wanted was for them to stay in communication with us. Other than that they are good people and we greatly apologize for all the miscommunication and mix up. This is not how we wanted this to end up. I was going to return but due to what happened with the unauthorized transaction made to our account from them, this really upset us and so we decided to refund them the right amount owed which is $500.
