Please note that several attempts have been made In efforts to clarify the patients concernsOn the last attempt, I spoke to the patient's husband, [redacted] , and we had agreed that he would come to our office to discuss and review the charges on Saturday, September 30, Unfortunately he did not call or visit our officeI have tried to explain to our patient that the charges are accurateI have previously recommended that she contact her Insurance company to clarify any questions that she may haveThe insurance company's policy Is to request all records from our office and audit them and make a recommendationPlease review the attached fee schedule from the patient's insurance company which also includes the exclusions and limitationsSome of the fees included on the original financial arrangements are not covered by her insurance and therefore presented on her first visit as part of the proposed treatmentAlso, please see attached financial arrangements In the amount of $signed by Ms [redacted] and a treatment report for the services completed In the same amountNo additional fees were charged to the patient and all services In the amount of the financial arrangement were completedWe would appreciate the opportunity to meet with the patient and spouse to review the charges and at the same time contact the Insurance company If they still have additional questions

It is unfortunate that there is still a misunderstandingThe treatment that was included on the financial arrangements did not include a root canal retreatThe doctor mentioned to you and the front staff that there was a possibility that you may need a retreat on an existing root canal previously done elsewhereIf you did require it, we would have sent you to a specialist for the treatmentPlease note that the financial arrangement form does not say root canal on it because we were not planning on doing it at our officeThere was a chance that you may have had to be referred out for it if you needed it
We are here to answer any questions if you give us the opportunityDr *** would be happy to review his notes and the treatment performed and the reasons why they were necessary

I am rejecting this response because:
It's unfortunate for you that I am not one of your older clientele that might not remember their interactions with you or the staff, but your story never happenedMy first visit to the office consisted of getting x rays and having you tell me all the work that needed to be doneI also remember you inappropriately asking me about going to the Stage Coach Festival, and that you essentially "partied" too hard that previous weekendIt was you that had told me the procedures that I needed to have done and the cost, I didn't meet Dr*** until much later after my wisdom teeth removalIt was at that time he told me I would not need the root canal redoneAt the next appointment for my crown work, in which I had to wait an hour for you to get to the office, because the front desk was trying to charge me againI was the one who told you that no other crown work was done and that the doctor informed me I did not need the root canal work done eitherYou AND the front desk had no idea that conversation had occurred between him and I based on your confusion and attempt to move things around on my accountSo your "new" story about the doctor telling me and the staff that I was going to be referred out to have work done elsewhere, is a bold face lieI have attached a copy of the claims list from my dental insurance stating what I should have paid based on the claims YOU sent themAll the work I had done was listed and accounted for and it totals $1775, which is $less than what you quoted and charged meI'd also like to reiterate the fact that according to the CareCredit fine print, "only charging for services that have been completed or that will be completed within days of the initial charge", which did not do and charged me for ALL the work I had done at one time. You have given multiple stories, multiple excuses, multiple statements with changing "unspecified oral surgery" charges, but my argument has not changedI will not be persuaded or back down from my argument

I have previously recommended that she contact her Insurance company to clarify any questions that she may have. The insurance company's policy Is to request all records from our office and audit them and make a recommendation. Please review the attached fee schedule from the patient's insurance company which also includes the exclusions and limitations. Some of the fees included on the original financial arrangements are not covered by her insurance and therefore presented on her first visit as part of the proposed treatment. Also, please see attached financial arrangements In the amount of $2270.00 signed by Ms. [redacted] and a treatment report for the services completed In the same amount. No additional fees were charged to the patient and all services In the amount of the financial arrangement were completed. We would appreciate the opportunity to meet with the patient and spouse to review the charges and at the same time contact the Insurance company If they still have additional questions.
