Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: It is just like this man to make up every little lie he possibly could about meIt's no wonder the place was emptyI never called timesIt was once and he answered and yes he said he would give my parents the roomWhy on earth would I make up something like that then proceed to tell my parents? To make me sound insane? I was not "upset over a bag of nuts." I was upset with the way I was treated by the Inn KeeperI'm a grown adultI don't "throw temper tantrums" and that itself is insulting to say about a customerThe only reason for him not to give me a refund is probably because he needs it to pay for the rent he can't afford on his place due to lack of good customer care Regards, [redacted] ***

*** ***Hi ***,In regards to the issue with *** ***, there will not be a refund issued On May 21, she had reserved a room through *** for the
night of July No direct communication occurred between the guest and this property until the reserved night.Checkin is clearly stated on my own website as well as ***' to be between 3pm-5pm with exceptions made with prior arrangements with the property directlyThe guest did not call until the night of arrival to inform that they were lost at approximately 9:30pm Which places hours late for check-in.Cancellation policy is stated on my my own website as well as ***' as a hour cancellation prior to date of arrival Wanting a refund the night of arrival (approximately 9:45pm) is not within the proper window.In regards to her behavior, I have never witnessed an adult guest throw a tantrum such as she did and especially over not able to get a bag of nuts from the vending machine "Well I want my breakfast now!!!" Is not a proper way to request a meal either, and unfortunately we don't serve breakfast at 9:30pm, which is the reasoning behind her wanting to leave immediately and demanding a refund.The attached images are screen captures from the *** Promotion that was running during the time of her booking, it was the same screens she would have visited in order to book the room through *** as she did No where in the text does it state that I have a late night restaurant, no where does it state that refunds are given for suddenly choosing to leave because there is no restaurant, no where does it state that we encourage bad behavior and tantrums in public.In regards to communication between *** *** and myself after the incident, I never promised to give her parents a room for free After she called times within minutes while I was already in phone conversation, she then blocked her number and called again I knew it was her, and asked the other guest I was already speaking to if I could call them back and answered what I only assumed was her We had a lengthy discussion which was surprisingly civil compared to our last interaction.I informed her of the reasons that there would not be a refund as stated above And she said she understood, and she apologized for her behavior She mentioned that her parents would love this place and asked if I would be willing to let them stay I was honest, and told her I was hesitant to allow anyone associated with her to stay as I felt it was an attempt to still obtain a refund She said no, I just think they would really love it I agreed, but I never once said it would be free.Her parent's did call some time later, and said that *** already paid I explained to them that no, she paid for a night she chose not to take in July but there was no open-ended reservation for them to claim.I hope this information is adequate and enough to close the claim.Jason W***InnkeeperSunlight Lodge Bed & Breakfast970-945-5225www.sunlightlodge.com"Life Doesn't Get Any Better!"

It was once and he answered and yes he said he would give my parents the room. Why on earth would I make up something like that then proceed to tell my parents? To make me sound insane? I was not "upset over a bag of nuts." I was upset with the way I was treated by the Inn Keeper. I'm a grown adult.. I don't "throw temper tantrums" and that itself is insulting to say about a customer. The only reason for him not to give me a refund is probably because he needs it to pay for the rent he can't afford on his place due to lack of good customer care.
