Short summary: Do not rent properties from this company. They will ignore your problems, blame you for them, and lie to you unless you threaten to take them to court.

Everything began badly, starting with the first showing of the property, when the realtor was 15 minutes late and didn't even acknowledge her tardiness when she arrived. Afterwards, I ended up putting down a holding deposit since I was told I had to in order to see the contract. It was only after putting money down that I found out that there were mandatory cleaning and carpet cleaning fees that amounted to over $350, which I was never told about. I sent them an email about this and their response was that I had been given an "unfinished contract". The "finished" one stated the fees would basically be around $300, which was still ridiculous. I settled anyways, since I figured I might lose my $900 deposit and would rather lose $300. on the condition that the property would be perfect on move-in since we would have to pay to leave it perfect on move-out.

I tried to schedule another viewing of the place to make sure the property would be perfect on move-in since we would have to pay to leave it perfect on move-out. Instead of agreeing, I was ignored for over 2 days. I eventually called and was told I would have to pay $50 just to see the property I had already put $900 down for! They had ignored me for 2 days when I was making a small request, but only took 15 minutes to call me after I sent them an email describing all their mistakes. In that phone call, instead of trying to make some sort of compromise or apologizing, they accused me of being unfair and rude, while having me on speaker phone and having 1-2 people yelling over me.

During the call, I was, again, told the place was clean. In total, three separate people had assured me the place had been "professionally cleaned" for two straight days. I don't understand how it could take 2 entire days to clean a 1-bedroom condo of 670 square feet, but, again, I reluctantly agreed to just wait until the walk-through.

The day of the walk-through came and I found the place to be unacceptably dirty, with unswept floors, dead bugs, spiders in the corners, all the kitchen cabinets were filled with debris, and there was grime in many areas. The technician agreed with us and told us not to worry, we could pay a cleaning service to take care of the place and we would be reimbursed. Well, we had to wait 3 days because of the long weekend where we were unable to unpack any of our stuff because of how unsanitary the place was. During this time, we would also find mold in the bathroom, trash under the stove, a roach infestation (we killed 12 roaches in the 3 weeks we stayed there), and a dryer completely packed with lint.

Come Tuesday, we finally have the place cleaned. We let the property company know, and they tell us they WON'T credit us for the cleaning. Again, they blame us for not letting them take care of it themselves, saying we should have never gotten a cleaning service, DESPITE the technician telling us we could so on the day of the walk-through! On top of that, they criticize our choice of cleaning service, [redacted], saying they were terrible, even though they did an amazing and a more professional job than what this agency had done.

After 2 weeks of lies and stress, I had enough and threatened to go to court with all the pictures I had taken the day of and the days following the walk-through. They, finally, did something in my favor and gave me the option to leave with my full deposit, which I gladly accepted. Turns out legal threats are the only way to get these people to do anything for you.

Moral of the story, don't trust anyone with your money. Get everything in writing and don't ignore the red flags like I did. Also, don't do business with unprofessional liars.
