Sunny Acres

I drove out to look at a aussie puppy, the kennel was very clean, and the owner was very nice. After talking to her and looking at the puppies I ended up buying 2. I see a couple bad reviews, but as far as I'm concerned this kennel was great! I love these dogs, and they are perfect, beautiful and healthy. I would definitely recommend buying a puppy from Frances.

Review: I purchased a dalmatian puppy from Sunny Acres on Saturday 4/11/2015. She was positive there was nothing wrong with the puppy. Upon arriving home with the puppy we began to suspect hearing issues. We immediately made an apt with our vet. On Wednesday 4/15/15 we took him to the vet and she confirmed that he is in fact deaf and has a very bad ear infection. I immediately called Sunny Acres and asked for some of my money back. She told me she would have to speak with her husband and would return my call later that evening. I did not hear back from her that night. The next day 4/16/15 I received a call from the vet saying the results from his fecal tests showed that he also has a parasite. Again I called Sunny Acres and no one answered. I called back a few minutes later and again, no one answered so I left a message asking them to return my call. I have not heard anything since after trying to contact them repeatedly through phone and e-mail. There is no way she didn't know this puppy was deaf and she sold him as if he wasn't knowing that I wouldn't even be able to register him because he is deaf.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of half of what I paid for the puppy. I do not want a new puppy as I have already paid for the vet visits and started puppy classes. I think half of what I paid for him is fair.

Review: I spoke with the owners of this kennel on the phone 3 times asking for a specific dog. When I arrived I found out the dogs had been sold the entire time and they tried to get me to purchase a dog twice as expensive. When I tried to rectify the situation the owner's acted like we never spoke about this.

Furthermore, it was -2 out today and roughly -20 with the windchill factor. There were dogs outside and one was chained to a tree in the snow. This is certainly not healthy for these animals.Desired Settlement: I did not purchase a dog from this place, but am hoping people could be made aware before doing business with this place.
