Review: On Thursday, July [redacted],I went to Sunny B Nails in Bayport NY to have my nails done for a special occassion. Before my appointment I asked if they do uv gel nails in which they responded yes. I went to my appointment and during I saw the nail technican use acrylic nails on my fingers. Now uv gel nails is a special gel that they measure out on your nail and even out than they put your hands in the dryer. These nails were plastic and fake and they charged me the same exact price. Whereas the uv gel nails typically cost $80 for a full set and acrylic full set costs typically around $45-60. The nail technican told me that my nails were to short to do the uv gel nails which is a lie. If your nails are to short for acrylic they do the uv gel nails. That's what it's for. Then he refused to do my nail design. It was a black and white line design with a touch of silver dots. Something very elegant and nice. He finished and rushed me away to the woman doing my pedicure. She was very nice and did a great job. However when I called back an hour after I left because my nails started to chip and the nails were disgusting due to the obvious glue underneath I told them I wanted a full refundespecially being a first time Customer. That this sort of thing isn't right. That they lie about their products and advertisements. They told me there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. I tried calling back several times and nothing. I would like this matter resolved immediately. My friends who are also nail technicians at a different private salon mentioned they have gone there and had similar results. A place in this exact location has been shut down a couple years ago and I'm afraid that the Customers are being ripped off just as bad as I was.Desired Settlement: $100 (what I was charged for my entire bill)

As far as the false statement saying that our shop have been shut down a couple of years ago, our salon have been here over 10 years without any issues and the salon was never once shut down. I thought you were satisfied with your service because you left smiling. We have a no money back refund policy but do offer additional services to make your experience a happy one. With all the new sets of nails, we do free repairs for the first 2 weeks. I would love it if you came back, I would like to offer you a free uv white back fill in with design and a free french pedicure for you. You can just come in or call me to make an appointment.
