My father is a resident at the facility, and I serve as his attorney in fact. His bill was incorrect in March and now again in April. On March 10, I received my father's bill for April (paid month ahead). I realized that charges that I had been told by previous Executive Director,[redacted], would not be added to the bill were indeed added retroactively to February 11. The charges were also added to the March and April totals. The billing discrepancy totaled $1343. I spoke to [redacted] at the facility regarding the issue that day. The next day, I left a message for [redacted]. After no return call, I spoke to [redacted] at the national office who was to forward my problem to Regional Director, [redacted]. He called me on March 12 and asked me to forward email correspondence and said he would be in touch by Thursday afternoon. I did not hear back so emailed again on Friday. He responded late Friday that he was still researching and would get back to me the following week. I finally was contacted the following week by [redacted], Assisted Living Coordinator at the facility. She assured me that all charges would be fixed and that the bill would be correct going forward. I received the newest bill yesterday. The charges were not fixed, and a late fee was assessed because the charges were still outstanding. The charges going forward are also still incorrect - he is being billed for a "Level of Care" called "Assisted Living Plus" that he is not receiving ($34/day). He receives the "Assisted Living Select", which is $17/day. The bill discrepancy is now $1886.79. I emailed [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted] this morning and have yet to receive any correspondence or acknowledgment from any of the three. I am deeply frustrated that this matter has not been resolved. I am even more concerned about possible billing discrepancies for elderly residents that may not have as strong of an advocate as my father does in me. This is a service oriented business, and it is unacceptable for billing discrepancies to not be resolved in a timely fashion.Desired SettlementThe bill needs to be corrected for February, March, April, and May. The level of care for the entire period should be Assisted Living Select, not Plus, at $17/day instead of $34/day.
