The reason why we've been trying to offer payments to *** *** and then to Sunrise is because we just want this nightmare from our experience with this car and them over with!

I really don't know where to begin with this but here goes nothing.
We sold [redacted] and [redacted] a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser on February 3rd, 20:14..Customers were very, happy to get into a  newer nicer vehicle with the credit issues they had....

Everything was great until the door got hit. Then they ..said the car was overheating. asked them to take it to [redacted] in Harrington to have it looked at. They were one ofther mechanic shops that we use.  I don't remember the exact. outcome due to it was so many months ago, but I can tell you that they would not have let the vehicle go if it had a serious issue. The. vehicle had a warranty on it so they would have gladly done the warranty work to get another job.
I am a little offended that Miss. [redacted] would lie about the way we talked to her. We are an openly Christian organization and we don't swear let alone say the things, that she said that we said to her. Also we do not 11soup11 up our cars to sell them. What good would that do since we GIVE 6 month I 6500. mile warranti.es on all four cars. Yes we don't charge our customers for that warranty. {See attached warranty sheet).  You can check with guardian warranty company to see what
our claim rate is since we went into business. If you need that I would be glad to get that for you.. That should show Miss [redacted] that we don't "Soup" up our vehicles. Again being a Christian organization we would  never think of doing something like that.
I am not sure that Miss [redacted] had the car towed to us, but [redacted] Repair did bring the car to US' and the driver said We can't do anything with this, that the $1782 check wouldn't cover the damages. Why did they sign the check then.  (See attached sheet and check). Miss [redacted] said she still has the check but I have got a copy of the cashed heck. How can she still have it. (See attached copy of check).
The car is bent underneath where she ran it off the road which she admitted to us that she ran it off the road in the snow. I had a certified body technician look at it and he said the •whole engine is pushed back which also contributed to the overheating problem.
In reference to nobody trying to collect the check, I know that [redacted] [redacted] has tried to collect the check.  I could only start asking for the check once the deal was sign.ed back over to me. The car got repossessed withi.n th:e recourse period so Ihad to buy the car back from [redacted]. Once they signed the vehicle back over to me is when I started pursuing the money. Which brings up a second problem. [redacted] Repair signed the back of the insurance check and gave it back to Miss [redacted] without doing any work to the vehicle. Giving the
signed check back to Miss [redacted] gave her the opportunity to cash the check which she did. Ithink [redacted] Repair is as guilty as Miss [redacted]. They should have NEVER signed the check without doing any work.  We talked to Deputy [redacted] and he said that it was not insurance fraud but it was theft, and he advised us to pursue this with the police.  Before we did that we decided to give Miss [redacted] and [redacted] Repair a chance to make this right. After Miss [redacted] received her letter she went into my attorney's office and they called me.  Since Iwas not interested intaking payments on this she started yelling and screaming which I am sure my attorney can verify.  Tliat is when .she decided to make this complaint.  Why would she offer to make payments if she wasn't guilty?
I would  like to make known again that  Auto Repair in Camden should have never signed the check without doing the work. {See attached check).   I don't know if I should file a complaint against him or not.
We are not settling anything with Miss [redacted] or Mr. [redacted]. We have a car in our possession that is wrecked and has a bad motor. The car is worth $300 the way it sits. We had to pay $3451.76 to pay back [redacted] for this car. All we are looking for is the insurance check that hould have gone. to this carto get it fixed which Miss
[redacted] has cashed and stolen. I personally feel that it is insurance fraud also, but we know for a fact that it is theft.
As for the car being in an accident we have no clue. We buy used cars at .certified auctions. They have to disclose to us if the vehicle has a
reconstruced or salvage title. As you can see by the title and registration card we sent you it did not. This vehicle has a clean title.
Again .if the car was in a minor accident we wquld never have known. They are used cars. That is why we again give a 6 month I 6500 mile warranty to our customers.  We do not charge them •for this warranty.
My last thought or question is;  If Miss [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] really wanted to keep this car why didn't they have the damage fixed with the insurance check and the motor fixed with the warranty. I would have cost them $100 which is the deductible for the warranty. I think all along they just didn't want the car anymore and this was the easiest way of disposing of it. They conveniently got married right before stealing the insurance check.
Hopefully this will clear some of the things up in Miss [redacted]'s letter.
Thank you for your time,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The check we still have is for the body work to the door. [redacted] has tried to get a response from Sunrise so they could have the body work fixed. Furthermore, the reason being the check was cashed by [redacted] is because there are body work repairs on the estimate that they don't do. Also, we have recorded proof that they said what was said, along with a mechanic verifying that we bought the car like that because there was NO WAY that the engine could have been pushed back 4" just by me swerving to the side of the road! Plus, we never said we wanted the car back! The reason why we've been trying to offer payments to [redacted] and then to Sunrise is because we just want this nightmare from our experience with this car and them over with!

Review: My complaint actually covers several complaint types. My now husband and I bought a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser from Sunrise Auto in Felton,DE back on February 3,2014. On February 8,2014 it was parked outside my job when someone backed into the driver's side door and took off. An incident and insurance claim were filed. On February 18,2014, the engine overheated and then stalled. We had to have it towed to several different mechanics. I had thought the damage could have been as a result of my swerving off to the side of the road to avoid hitting a dog. An insurance claim was filed. I wound up losing my job(which I was making approx. $70-$150 a day, 5 days a week because of not having a car for my job. Of course, all this going on with our wedding less than two months away! So, after 2 months of going to different mechanics and having 2 insurance agents look at the car-we found out by 2 of the mechanics that both of the insurance agents had claimed the car as being totaled and didn't inform me. We were also told by 4 mechanics that they believe that the car was souped up by the dealership's shop(3D Auto in Harrington, DE) just so it could be sold off the lot. Also, come to find out the car had been in at least 1 accident prior to us purchasing it and we were never informed of it. Up until we were told by Sunrise Auto in the middle of April just to "bring the f---n car back to them and they'll fix it their own d--n selves(which we did have it towed back to their lot) we did keep full coverage insurance on it and even made a car payment. So, 2 months later both Sunrise and the finance company started calling and threatening us for $1782.00(the amount of the 1 insurance check). Now, mind you, they still never asked for the check for the body shop(we still have it) and the body shop even tried to reach them to fix the door and do the necessary body work-with no answer back from Sunrise. They cost my husband and I a lot of stress, grief, my job, and we're out of a lot of money because of them!Desired Settlement: We want them to stop harassing us and personally feel they owe us $495.00 for the down payment, $286.00 for the 1 car payment, $424.00 for the insurance payments, $2040.00 for lost wages, plus $355.00 for the towing charges, for a total of $3600.00; and that doesn't include the pain and suffering caused by this mess.
