I am a tenant of the Akron mobile home park Akron NYThe park was owned by a private owner who sold the park to SCIThere are many tenants that are elderly or on a fixed income and a lot rent that the tenants could affordSince SCI took over they wanted to raise the lot rent by a good amountWe incurred a lot rent increase in Novfrom the previous ownerSCI tried to raise the lot rent again in JanThis was against New York state law and not allowedSCI says they want to gradually raise the rent because of "fair market value"SCI compared our mobile home park to other local mobile home parks for this reasoningThe problem is that these other mobile home parks are either much larger, have numerous employees, or have other amenities included in the lot rentSCI also has not kept up the maintenance of the mobile home park (snow plowing ,mowing, etc.) as they stated in their lease agreementWe have only had an interim park manager who at times is very hard to reachWe are constantly told promises that some have still gone unsolvedSCI seems like they are only in the purchase of the park for a enormous profit (the mobile home park was making a good profit prior)

I am a resident of the Akron Mobile home park in Akron, NYSunrise bought our park from a private owner months ago just to try and make a profitOur park is filled with elderly( on fixed incomes), low income and disabled veteransThis company is trying to raise our rent to rates that will drive people out of there homes just to make a profitThey dont care if we end up on the streetThis is a terrible, unethical company and dont care who they hurtI dont know how these people look at themselves in the mirror or sleep at night knowing what they are intentionally doing to peopleWe are human beings not dollar signsShame on you
