I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Review: Letters have been sent informing them of the following, however they continue to ignore it. You have been told several times to contact my daughter [redacted], however you continue to ignore this and do not return any of her calls or honor the time frame you are given for calls as they should not made until after 6pm however you continue to call any time of day and phones cannot be answered during the work day. Therefore this will serve as your legal notice under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) to cease all communication with me (at home, cell and my place of employment) in regards to any debt placed with your office. Do not contact me, or any third parties regarding this debt. Any correspondence can be sent to : [redacted]Desired Settlement: We just want them to honor the request and stop calling. Just send correspondence to address given.

Response:

Dear [redacted]:

I am writing in response to [redacted] 's request. As you may know, Sunrise works for many different creditors in assisting them to resolve their accounts. As such, we legally rely upon the information provided by the creditor until such time as It is disputed by the consumer. Part of the process is of course, trying to reach the customers of our clients to resolve their accounts. There is no intent lo harass or rumoy any consumer as that would not serve anyone's purpose.

That being said, we apologize for [redacted]'s experience. [redacted] has not and will not be contacted by Sunrise again with regard to the account. Upon our receipt of [redacted]'s dispute letter on June [redacted], Sunrise immediately stopped all collection efforts and forwarded her dispute to the creditor. On June [redacted], the creditor recalled the account from our office. At some future date, the creditor will contact [redacted] again to clear up the balance but in the interim, Sunrise has not and will not be contacting her as Sunrise will no longer be involved. Additionally, there has been no negative credit reporting by Sunrise so [redacted]' s credit has not been affected.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further assistance.

Thank you [redacted].

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

This company will not stop calling me numerous times a day. I have already spoken with multiple people telling them to stop calling me, and they said "ok" and then hang up on me. Yet, they called me AGAIN this morning. They are so rude! Also, they keep threatening me that if I don't pay them now they are going to put it on my credit report even though I have been paying it every month. They are a terrible business and they need to be put out of business!

Review: I requested an updated copy of the balance be sent to me on 9/**/14 so that I can mail in a payment. The representative did not ask for any information asked if this was all I called for & then hung up. About a week later on 9/**/14, I called back because I had not received the bill but noticed I was still getting a number of calls from different numbers. This representative explained that when I called in they did not need my information because my caller ID brings up the details. He said he would make a note & to wait a couple of days I should receive the bill. On 9/**/14 after receiving a number of calls throughout the day I answered & spoke with [redacted] who was very rude & discourteous! As I told the many representatives that I spoke with prior to her I stated again to her that I did not want to enter into a set payment agreement because I was not working my normal hours due to illness. I informed her I was still waiting for a statement I had requested on 9/** so that I could mail a payment. She stated that I should have the information because a confirmation of the payment they received should have been mailed. I informed her I did not receive any confirmation letter- I was informed by phone that the payment had been received but at that time I was unable to make another payment. I asked for her to send another statement so that I could mail a payment & she said I should have one since they had the account since June. I asked her to provide me with mailing address she only gave the name of the company & [redacted]; When I asked City, State & zip code she said I did not need it. I questioned the address she had given several times but she continued to state I did not need the city, state &zip code to mail my payment. As of today 10/*/14 I have not received an updated bill. It seems that unless I enter into a payment agreement they will not help and many of the representatives that I spoke with were quick to say they will report to credit reporting agencies but now that I am able to make payments I cannot get the statement or full mailing address. They call me at least 2-3 times a day but from different phone numbers.Desired Settlement: I would like for the confirmation letter of the payment they received to be sent & for future payments along with a new statement so that I can make payments when I am able to do so in a timely manner or upon my request.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Caller leaves phone messages. No written verification of so-called debt. It doesn't exist.

Review: Sunrise Credit Services has now called me multiple times after I have disputed the debt they have purchased. The debt stems from a disagreement between myself and my former for profit educational institution. They claim that I owe them $800, but I have paperwork that proves that not only is that not the case, but that they still owe me money for not applying my scholarship money to my financial aid account. But besides that, they are calling outside the guidelines set forth by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act set forth by the Federal Trade Commission, but I'm sure you are familiar with this document. They are calling outside of the time periods set in the FDCPA, they have called more than once in a day, and when they do call, they do no bother to listen, they simply insult me and ask me for personal and financial information that I do not give to anyone that has not sent me any paper correspondance whatsoever. When I ask for a supervisor, none are available, or I'm not eligible to speak to one. What kind of [redacted] is that?Desired Settlement: As the original creditor still owes me a balance of $600, I would ask that this file be closed and reported back to the original creditor that this debt is invalid. I can supply any documentation necessary to support my claims. Furthermore, I would ask that they re-train their staff in proper phone call etiquette and policies.

Dear [redacted]:

The above referenced consumer's complaint was referred to me for a reply. As you may be aware, Sunrise Credit Services is a third-party collection agent to creditors, such as the Art Institute. As such, we legally rely upon the information provided to us by such creditors. A review of [redacted]'s complaint to you reveals that his true "dispute" lies with the Art Institute, not Sunrise. Unfortunately, we do not have the authority to simply zero an account as the account does not belong to us.

In this matter, upon our receipt of your letter Sunrise ceased collection efforts and forwarded [redacted]'s dispute to the creditor. Since that time, we have not and will

not attempt to collect [redacted] with regard to this matter. We have asked the creditor to reply directly as we are not able to address [redacted]'s concerns. Should they forward a reply to our offices, we will of course send it immediately to your attention but again,

we expect them to resolve this with [redacted] directly.

Please contact me if I can be of further assistance or if you do not hear back from the Art Institute and you would like for me to follow up. Thank you [redacted].

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I was contacted by Sunrise to collect a claimed, and disputed, debt from The Art Institute (Ai). Ai claims that I owe them $825 for tuition, but they did not apply 4 quarters of my scholarship funds totaling $1400, and Ai had signed off on my zero balance when I graduated from the school 2 years ago. There have also been other collections agencies that have attempted to collect this false debt, but even they have realized that Ai's claim is not valid. Furthermore, Ai themselves sent me notice that my balance had been zeroed out. Coincidentally, this was just after I sent Ai a bill for the $1400 dollars they owe me.

I would like Ai to zero out my balance for what would be the 3rd time now. And I would like the additional $600 that Ai owes me for unapplied scholarship funds.

Sincerely,

Business

Dear [redacted]:

The above referenced consumer's follow-up request was referred to me for a reply. As I explained in my prior response, Sunrise Credit Services is a third-party collection agent to creditors, such as the Art Institute. Sunrise does not own the account in question and unfortunately, we do not have the authority to simply zero an account in the creditor's system (although we have dosed and zeroed it in ours) as the account does not belong to us.

We have forwarded [redacted]'s request for a refund to the Art Institute and are awaiting their reply. We have asked the school to reply directly as we are not able to address [redacted]'s request but should they forward a reply to our offices, we will of course send it immediately to your attention. We expect them to resolve this with [redacted] directly as Sunrise is no longer handling the account.

Please contact me if I can be of further assistance or if you do not hear back from the Art Institute and you would like for me to follow up. Thank you [redacted].

Review: I had a T-Mobile account that was sent to this collection company. The balance was around $850 for three lines, I had received several letters offering a settlement for a lower amount with payment plans. The settlement amounts varied from the high $200 amount to the mid $600 amount. However when I called to select a payment plan, I was told that the remaining balance was $288.28, which I was able to pay at the moment. I provided my debit card information to the clerk and I specifically asked the clerk that if paying this amount would close the account and she said yes. I did not think any of it, I saw the charge on my account. A couple of months later I received a phone call from another collection company in reference to the original amount owed to T-Mobile. I explained to them that as far as I knew the account was paid off and closed by Sunrise Credit Services. The company asked to provide a letter saying that the account was paid off and they would rectify the mistake. I called Sunrise Credit Services to request the letter, the clerk said she had no record of the payment and that the account was actually sent back to T-Mobile. I called a couple of days later and another clerk said the same thing, I explained the situation, he was no help. He said that what had probably happened was that I had paid off the balance for only one of the lines, he was not able to provide any more information as to what the balance was, nor was he able to confirm that the payment was received by their company. I called a third time, the clerk said that the account wasn't coming up on their system anymore so it was probably paid off, I requested the letter and he took my email address, to which he said the letter was going to be sent to. It's been about a week and I have yet to receive the letter.

I spoke to my bank to dispute the charges, they said that unfortunately they were not able to do anything but that the payment was received by Sunrise Credit.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the letter saying that the account was paid off. If they are not able to provide the letter I need an immediate refund so I can work with the other collection company.

As such, we legally rely upon the information provided to us by such creditors until such time as it may be disputed by the consumer. A brief review of [redacted]'s situation reveals that Sunrise received an account from T-Mobile (Tmob Acct#[redacted] in the amount of $804.74) on or about September *, 2012. The account was recalled from our offices by T-Mobile on or about May **, 2013 with the same balance remaining. We show no payments received during the entire lime the account was with Sunrise.

We can certainly investigate further if [redacted] has proof of any payment made to Sunrise but without anything else to go on, we can only state Sunrise did not receive any monies on the account before it was recalled by T-Mobile. Perhaps [redacted] paid T-Mobile directly or paid another agency. I am sorry I could not be more helpful, but again, if there is any more information available, we will be happy to investigate further.

Please contact me if I can be of further assistance.

Thank you.

Please find attached a copy of my bank statement, reflecting the payment made to Sunrise Credit Services on April **, 2013.

Response:

Dear [redacted]:

I apologize for any confusion I caused. At the time I looked up [redacted]'s account after receiving your letter, I did not realize she had two (2) different accounts placed for collection by T-Mobile. On September *, 2012, T-Mobile placed an account for $804.74 bearing their account reference number [redacted] and then a second account on February *, 2013 in the amount of $281.29 bearing their account reference number [redacted].

[redacted]'s payment of $288.28 paid the more recent accow1t in full which included the balance plus a processing fee she agreed to. The other account ([redacted]) was recalled by T-Mobile on May **, 2013 and Sunrise did not receive any payments toward that balance while it was in our office. I have attached a paid in full letter for Me. [redacted]'s records regarding the account she paid off with Sunrise.

I hope this clears up any confusion. Please contact me if I can be of further assistance to [redacted].

Thank you.

I obtained a cell number for my business. The previous owner is being sought after by this company. I have told them numerous times that this person no longer has that number and needs to stop calling. I have spoken to different representatives who claim that they will take me off the call list. They are harassing weekends, nights, the most appropriate times. Using up my minutes, waisting [redacted] voice messaging. A representative just hung up on me this morning. I am filing a lawsuit against this company. They don't understand that they are invading my personal time and property. I will continue to go on social media to stop this harassment.

Anyone else having this problem with irresponsible consumers that abandon their cell numbers and new owners come along and take on this inexcusable bombardment from credit companies.

Review: I mailed a letter to Sunrise Credit Services using USPS certified mail return receipt [redacted] disputing the debt and in the spirit of goodwill, to make this situation go away, I offered a settlement agreement. The agreement would need to be in writing. I received a call from an agent of Sunrise Credit Services on June [redacted] stating I need to resolve this situation. I asked the person who called me if her office received my letter, I was placed on hold for 30 seconds and she said yes. I said need an agreement in writing before I issue payment or will need to have the debt validated as it states on the first line of the letter mailed. Her response was "It is against our company policy to mail information to people." I informed the woman, well how to do you validate debt? It must be done through mail, correct? She placed me on another 30 second hold. When she came back, she said "Sir would you like to have this matter resolved today by paying the amount owed?" I said not until I receive a response from your office. I told the agent effective immediately, please do not have your office contact me via phone and please response to my letter via USPS mail for all communication on this account.Desired Settlement: I would like to resolve this matter quickly, but Sunrise Credit Services needs to work with me here. I would like a letter from Sunrise Credit Services at least acknowledging they received my letter and are willing to talk settlement. Or they accept my account is disputed as it states in my letter. Furthermore, if they received a letter stating the debt is disputed, why hasn't my credit report been updated to reflect this account as disputed? Lastly, why did I receive a phone come again when I specifically requested all correspondence be done via USPS mail? Isn't this a violation?

Unfortunately, we do not own the accounts in question and cannot always control the course an account takes. Rather than continue to contact [redacted], we have closed the subject account in our office as "disputed" which means Sunrise has not md will not contact him again with regard to this account. The account will be returned to the creditor for them to resolve any open issues. This will also allow [redacted] time to get his affairs in order or set aside monies to help when the creditor contacts him again at some future date. Additionally, Sunrise did not furnish any information to his credit report, so only the creditor or data furnisher can amend the report. By forwarding his letter to the creditor, they will have been advised that he disputes the debt.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further assistance. Thank

you.

Response:

[redacted]:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

I consider Sunrise Credit Services to be one sided in there customer relations. While making my payment in full I was met with 3 representatives that actually hung up the phone on me after stating they would have a supervisor assist the conversations. My only request was to have a payoff letter in return for my payment. Against better judgment I agreed to provide them with a letter of intent and payment up front in order to receive the payoff letter. Now subsequent letter has not been forwarded as per the intended aggrement. Inquires about the payoff letter now go unresolved.

I received a phone call from these people stating that my account with my cable provider had been moved to collections. When I contacted my cable provider, I was told my account hadn't been sent to collections.
