I recently have purchased a home that needed a new septic system. After researching a few companies I ended up deciding to go with Scott at sunrise environmental in Newfoundland New Jersey. Things started off OK with a lot of discussion of our game plan which we were in agreement of. As the job went on Scott delayed things and made changes as he seen fit for himself and I complied. At one point he said he would like to come back spring time to lay down top soil and seed for a lawn. I wasn't happy with this and wanted the job completed winter time but he made a point that it would be best for that part to be completed with and spring. Payments on my end were made as agreed upon. Scott was never true to his schedule by saying he's going to come days he did not come and he did come days that he never said he was going to come. Two days before Christmas eve's eve Scott said inspection is scheduled I will not be there please be there so we can get plumbing finalized. Plumbing inspector came and passed plumbing and then a few hours later Scott was knocking on the door for final payment. I told Scott I have no problem giving some extra money being that it's right before the holiday but the job is not done there for final payment is inappropriate. Scott started to get very nasty at that point saying that I'm a liar and he's mad at me and this isn't fair to him. I told him that I would like the property graded better being that I have large puddles and the grading does not match the natural slope of the terrain. Also the property was so muddy and rough it is unsafe to walk through. He said that he will come back spring to finish final grading. I asked him one and he said when I have time. I said that is unacceptable and I need a graded better now. He said that is not going to happen and I need to pay him final payment. At that point he started screaming at me. I told him that he is acting unprofessional and we should continue this conversation at another time. After that experience I figured it's best to just cut my ties and not deal with him anymore. I told him he can pick up his check for final payment and that we are done. The reality is the job is not done and now I need my property regraded and fix the mud issues. Scott is a hotheaded money hungry maniac and I do not feel comfortable dealing with him anymore and would not recommend him to others.
