Review: We had a second pest inspection done on our home that is currently for sale. We decided to have a second inspection done because the first company was unreasonable in their demands. We started the repairs that needed to be done on August 19th (or attempted to start)the repairs by our contractor. When he crawled under the house he determined there was no "dry rot" on boards that we were told needed to be replaced. We had vinyl siding installed on our home earlier this year and all the "dry rot" work was done at that time. Our contractor asked us to contact the inspector and see if he could come over and meet with him under the house to point out his findings. We were more than willing to pay for another inspection fee. Well, during their phone up conversation the pest guy hung up the phone. At that time, my husband called the pest inspector who said he would not deal with us and was throwing our "file" in the trash. He was very rude at that time and repeatedly told my husband that "he owned the business" and that our file was going in the trash and hung up the phone. We are now going to pay yet another pest inspector who will be here on Monday, August 25th who is going to meet with our contractor and go under the house to determine what, if anything, needs to be repaired. If there is nothing in need of attention, we will then proceed from there.Desired Settlement: A refund of the inspection fee and perhaps documentation stating that a mistake may have been made on his part during the inspection. One more thing, this inspector told my husband that he could do the repair of the items for a charge of $1,300

To whom it may concern, I am [redacted], co-owner of Sunrise Pest Control with [redacted]. We have been in business since 1989 and we take any complaints very seriously, as our reputation is everything to us. We performed a structural pest inspection for homeowner and reported dry rot damage in behind the vinyl siding, as did the previous inspector from another pest control company. The owners contractor stated he could not find the dry rot damage and would not do any repairs. I stand behind my inspection , and cannot issue a certification without the repairs being completed. I am willing to either complete the necessary repairs at the price quoted or re-inspect the repairs after an outside tradesman/contractor has completed the repairs. I never stated to the homeowner or the contractor that I was going to throw his report in the trash. I did hang up on the contractor after he used obscenities.
