face when she was asked to speak to the manager regarding the return of her moneyWe were very surprised by her reaction because at Broadway Bakery customer service is our priority and we strive to provide the best customer service experience

Complaint1) I contacted Sunrise Plumbing and requested a quote to remove two existing bathtubs and enclosures and to install two new bathtubs and enclosures, provided by me. The owner, Trevor Baker, quoted "around $1200.00". After the work was completed, they presented a bill for $2800.00. When I questioned them about the difference between the quote and the bill, they said the $1200.00 was per each tub and enclosure.Nothing was ever said during the quote process about the $1200.00 being per each tub and enclosure. Trevor also said there might be a small additional cost for fixtures. They have been paid $1200.00 as quoted.I tried to resolve this with the owner, but he never once called me back on this issue.Product_Or_Service: LaborAccount_Number: CODDesired SettlementI feel I have paid the quoted price in full, and I am willing to pay up to 10% additional for the replaced fixtures.I am available by phone after 2 pm M - F.Business Response [redacted] did indeed contact Sunrise Plumbing requesting a quote for removal and install of two separate tub shower units at his rental and he did state he would be providing the new units. When [redacted] spoke to the owner to give additional info he was told that a firm quote could not be given due to the fact we had not looked at the project. He was then estimated the $1200.00 but it was per unit and for labor expense only. At this time [redacted] agreed to the verbal estimate and we proceeded with scheduling as time was crucial for this project. Labor alone for this project came to $1560.00 for the two units at the 19.5 hours it took to do the job. Travel would be a separate expense which he also agreed upon and totaled $624.00 for the three (3) trips. As well as a separate expense for any additional material [redacted] did not provide. The additional material for this project consisted of (2) Rough in valves, (2) trim kits, (6) 1/2'' copper 90*, (6) 1/2'' copper couplings, 4' of copper pipe, and (2) toe step waste and overflows totaling $525.59.On our last day of the project our service tech spoke with [redacted] regarding the need for trim around the shower surround, explaining to him that without extensive drywall work, which[redacted] did not want, that trim was needed and was not at all part of the estimation.[redacted] asked our service tech if he was willing to return and do the trim work, which he agreed too, this also incurred additional charges for the trim, paint and glue that was used as well as an additional travel charge. Sunrise Plumbing returned for the 3rd day to install and paint trim, then caulk surround and tub which totaled $95.73. Per unit our actual cost with travel excluding tax came to 1250.79. Tech then walked through with manager of rental to insure a job well done. On Sept 9th (our first day on the job) [redacted] made his first payment of $600.00 and the remainder of the bill was mailed to him the week of Sept 14th. By Oct 8th no other payments had been made. [redacted] called into the office that day and he stated he had yet to receive his bill, we then sent it to him via e-mail. Later that same day we received another phone call stating he had a few questions about the bill but was at work until 2pm and would call back. Sometime after that he had spoken to the office manager and made payment arrangements for the owed amount. Then on Oct 20th he called into the office at 11 am asking if his payment had been received, but at that time it had not. In that same conversation we verified our mailing address and he inquired about another job he wanted us to quote. I passed along the message to the owner and on the 21st he was given his quote for the new project and had been in e-mail communication (which we will provide) with the owner. To our understanding he no longer had billing question as he had set up a payment plan, received a new written quote from the owner and had spoken to all of us here in the office several times. Even when being in communication with him several times, he never again expressed concerns about his bill.To help diffuse this situation we will be willing to negotiate travel charges (by one) but would like time and material and tax to be paid in full.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Since all this has happened, we were advised to contact the Nevada State Contractor's Board. We will be more than happy to let the Revdex.com know the outcome.Final Consumer Response I told [redacted] I had two new bathtubs and surrounds that needed to be installed. I asked him how much it would cost, and how long it would take. He stated "around twelve hundred dollars and it would take two guys and one day to finish this project, plus a small amount for misc fixtures". There was no mention of additional costs, what-so-ever! Right after this conversation, my wife and I went on vacation, ocean fishing, and no one ever said this would cost more than "around $1,200.00" that was verbally agreed upon.My manager of the apartments also asked me how long it would take and told her one day and she is willing to sign an affidavit stating this. I ask why in the world would I tell my manager something that was not told to me?We are willing to increase our payment by $208.00 for a total of $1,408.00 ($1,200.00 has already been paid by us).
