Review: In 2012, my now deceased mother, [redacted] (account number [redacted]), was a short term resident at Emeritus at Carmel Valley in San Diego, California. Since the time of her short term residence, I have been receiving an invoice monthly in the amount of $955.25. My mother, [redacted], did not have nor did she leave any funds at the time of her death and I called Emeritus at Carmel Valley and spoke to [redacted] in billing about this situation. In February 2013 I came to an agreement with [redacted] in billing that Emeritus at Carmel Valley would accept 50% of what was owed as complete and final payment of my mother's remaining bill and the remaining 50% would be forgiven. I mailed Emeritus of Carmel Valley a personal check and on February 13, 2013 my personal check #[redacted] in the amount of $477.63 was accepted and cashed. The note area of the check indicates it is "Full payment agreement 50% of bill". Since that time, I have still been receiving monthly bills for the balance that was supposed to have been forgiven. I have called Emeritus at Carmel Valley after each receipt and spoke to billing ([redacted] is no longer employed there). The new billing person keeps telling me the bills will stop but they do not. After receiving the bill in late April, I called and left a message to please stop sending me bills or I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com. When I received another one on May 25, 2103 I decided they were not going to stop and that a Revdex.com complaint was needed.Desired Settlement: I want Emeritus at Carmel Valley to send me a zero balance invoice and then cease contact with me. Additionally, since we had an agreement I will not expect the forgiven balance to be reserved and reported to any credit or collection agency who will then start harassing me.
