I hired Sunrise in November to help consolidate student loans I have been trying to get through to them over the last days No one will return my calls or messages They do not respond to emails and I am not sure why This company could be a fraud while saying they work as a government agency to help people

This client contacted us to process his application to consolidate his student loans with the [redacted] The original application was rejected because the client chose to transfer some of his loans on his own and thus invalidating the applicationWe submitted a 2nd application on his behalf with a 3rd party provider who advertised much faster closing ratesIn actuality, this provider turned out to be no faster than the [redacted] Along with a another delay in the process, his consolidation stretched out a few weeks longer than anticipatedWe cancelled his application and refunded his money per his request, even though we were less than days from completion We attempt to complete each application in the minimum amount of timeThe speed of this process can be slowed by the client not making payments on time, paperwork not returned to us in a timely manner, delays in response from institutions we contact for information, and the actual paying off of existing loans and creating the new consolidated loanThe speed of their responses is out of our control and can cause unanticipated delays in the processWe attempt to give our customer a realistic time table of when their consolidation will be completedWhen these delays happen, the client assumes we have been lying to them

I hired this company back in November to refinance my student loan on the new teacher repay program.I also paid them in advance, received some calls back to get info from me in the beginningI got ahold of someone in January wondering about my loan they answered and helped meA supervisor was supposed to call me back to complete the problem and that was a month agoI've been calling everyday for a week on hold for an hour, left messages on different voicemails, no replyThis company is horrible and cruelThey're taking advantage of us and all were trying to do is pay are loans offSomething needs to be done about this!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! YOU WILL GET NOTHING MORE THAN HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I hired Sunrise Student Loan Services to complete my student loan consolidation application. I paid the company $300.00 up front. Unfortunately they submitted two applications to two different places on my behalf and caused me a huge headache. When I called them to rectify the situation I was lied to, told different stories from different people, eventually hung up on. They obviously did not care about their customer service because they already had my money! It's been the worst customer service experience of my life.

This company is absolutely HORRIBLE.... I payed these people $399 to consolidate my student loans. Well according to the contract any request for cancelation and refund must be done within 3 days of signing the contract which I did after reading horrible reviews and law suits against this company. I sent an email to the address that was provided on the contract and the associate that helped me. The associate did respond saying a supervisor would contact me shortly. Well let's just say in the past month I have gotten 1 phone call which I missed unfortunately. The extension that was left on the voicemail was incorrect and every time I call, I am told they extensions are not working properly and I message will be given to the supervisor. Well a month has passed by and still have not talked to a supervisor and no refund. I payed $399 to be ripped off. This company is bad business practice. Every time you call your put on hold forever and no one even follows back up with you. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Then they required me to give them my PIN # for the [redacted] website and when I spoke to the departmentof eeducation they said NEVER give out your pin number. Hope this helps someone else that might fall into this scam.

We attempt to complete each application in the minimum amount of time. The speed of this process can be slowed by the client not making payments on time, paperwork not returned to us in a timely manner, delays in response from institutions we contact for information, and the actual paying off of existing loans and creating the new consolidated loan. The speed of their responses is out of our control and can cause unanticipated delays in the process. We attempt to give our customer a realistic time table of when their consolidation will be completed. When these delays happen, the client assumes we have been lying to them.

First I would like to say that I did not add or alter any loans on my own, which this company claims I did. I did not. My payments were made on time, all documents were returned in a very timely manner, and again, I did not try to add any loans to the process, an cause the application to be cancelled.
I will say that a representative from Sunrise contacted me yesterday, and offered me a full refund, as I requested several weeks ago. I was told that the refund will be sent out today (3/28/2014). Once I receive this refund, I will be more than happy to close this complaint, and rebut/cancel any reviews I have posted on other sites, and let it be known that Sunrise Student Loan Services, did honor there 100% money back guarantee. I do believe that if a company honors their commitments and/or guarantees or promises, they should be recognized for such. I will do this once I receive the check in the mail.

impending consolidation, completing and submitting the application and all the supporting documentation to the Dept. of Education for the federal consolidation. This documentation is complicated and requires that all the submittals be accurate down to the last detail and submitted within 30 days or the application gets rejected.  It also requires time and money on our part to prepare these documents and send them to the client for formal signature.  After all this is completed and submitted, we have to wait for the Dept. of Education to complete the new loan and pay off the old loans. This is a 60 to 90 process and we inform our clients of this time frame. This client asked to cancel the service after 5 weeks of starting the program. We have already put in the vast majority of the work on his loan by this stage and the remaining time is just waiting for the Dept. of Education to complete their process. Each client is sent a service agreement that they read and sign. This agreement states clearly the service we are providing. It also states our warranty, which says if we cannot help you with your consolidation we will refund your money. This means if you have a private loan or other issues that would not allow the client to be consolidated. Is does NOT include voluntary cancellation late in the loan process.  This is like taking your car to the mechanic to fix a problem and then tell him you want the car back after 95% of the work had been done and expect the mechanic not to charge you anything. [redacted]VP AdminFenwake Corporationdba: Sunrise Student Loan Services[redacted]
