RevDex.com: At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted] regarding Sunrise Toyota Scion has been resolved. (By clicking "OK", your complaint will be closed as Resolved.) After six weeks of contacting Sunrise Toyota, sending certified letters to Sunrise Toyota and Toyota Financial Services, writing to Toyota Corporate offices in California and Japan , I made complaints to BBB and the Consumer Financial Protection Administration. [redacted] ***, [redacted] of Sunrise Toyota, finally responded to a review I posted on ***. After providing copies of the relevant documents, I received a check for the full amount due to me per the reimbursement agreement. I am happy, of course , to receive my money but feel that I was very poorly treated by the personnel at Sunrise Toyota who originally told me I would not receive the full amount due to me; I also received no help from Toyota Corporate offices. The entire episode leaves a very bad taste in my mouth about Toyota's concern for customer relations. Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: I purchased a used car may **, 2015 from this dealership. I was not given a second key, a jack or a lug wrench.. After repeated calls to this location, I was told I would be reimbursed for my expenses and to go get items elsewhere and they would reimburse. The key they said they would only reimbursen upnto $150. I went to the [redacted] dealer they suggested, the key was $320.77 and the entire bill came to $619.18 for all the parts. I submitted the paperwork the day after purchasing items and now a week later and I cannot get anyone to call me back certainly not send a reimbursement checkDesired Settlement: Refund

Review: I purchased a new Corolla from Sunrise Toyota on Dec. **, 2008. Before the purchase was finalized, I decided to cancel the ExtraCare extended warranty. I was told that if I cancelled the extended warranty, the financing for the car would not be approved. When I pressed to cancel Extra Care, they offered a reimbursement agreement which would refund the cost of the warranty if I did not use the service during the 5 year life of the extended warranty. Because I was under pressure to get a car for my commute from Suffolk County to my employment in Queens, I accepted the deal. The 5 years were completed this past Dec. [redacted] and I have not needed to use the extended warranty. I contacted Sunrise Toyota and they refuse to pay me according to our agreement.Desired Settlement: Refund of $2095 as per the reimbursement agreement.

Sincerely,

I am writing to you to let you know my very stressful and unhappy experience at leasing a Camry at Sunrise Toyota at [redacted], this Sunday, 8/**/15.

My son and I had put a deposit $500 on a Camry SE on Monday, 8/** at about 8:30pm. Since they did not have the color that he likes and it was very late, they said they would find the car and call us. They called on Wednesday, 8/** that they found the car, due to my schedule (working on this past Saturday), my son told them that we would not be able to get there until Sunday; they said it is fine, they will hold the car for us. My son asked for the VIN# so we can get insurance. We were very excited and showed up Sunday at the store but to find out that the car was just sold. The car was still sitting on the back of the lot, nothing had been done to it. I asked them why they did not call us? Why did they give the car that was promised to us to someone who just came by? They should tell the other customer that they have to wait for another car like we did? Their attitude is very callous, especially the business manager, Dennis (I did not get his last name). He said it is no big deal, he will just get us another car. It is a big deal to us. This is my son’s first car, we had been car shopping, we had waited for this car (exact color exterior and interior). He had scheduled several job interviews on this week that had to be cancelled. I am really aggravated by their unprofessionalism. They totally had no regards for our investment in time, effort and emotion in getting this car.

In my culture, “shaking hands” is as good as a written contract, in Sunrise Toyota, a confirmation phone call and a deposit meant nothing to them. This is a matter of principle, honesty and trust.

I would like to let others know how they treat their customer.

Review: To begin, I purchased my 2012 Toyota Highlander Limited on March **,2015; I have been receiving sub par customer service resolution to basic issues on my car purchase.

First, at the time of purchase the car was rated a Certified Toyota Used vehicle. I was told it had already been through the 160 Point Inspection. Since I have owned it I have notice some discrepancies, from questions I asked at time of purchase, and the list of checks I printed from Toyota Web site supposedly done to ready this car for delivery.

These item(S) have not been resolve from their 160 Point Inspection( I incurred a $500.00 Prep charge at point of Sale)

Battery Post free of Corrosion- corrosion on terminals and mounts. ( I personally had to clean when I took pocession of vehicle)

Change Engine Oil and Filter- oil is dirty

* Fluid Check(s) on vehicle was told to me by Salesman [redacted] and Finance Manger [redacted] were completed.

the following item(s) were completed by me because there was minimal to none fluids in vehicle; upon me taking pocession of vehicle.

1) Gallon of windshield washer fluid .

2) Windshield wipers.

3) Oil Change- due to oil service light notification. 5/*/15 Milieage 34760 @ [redacted]

4) Worn out Floor Mats.

5) Batteries missing from Fob.

Second, an issue of oil maitenance has been a continuing problem. This is due to the difference in mileage from their information on their Web site on velicle 31361. On day of sale and possesion milieage 33550 ; a difference of 2189 miles ( Unaccounted for).

Third, I have attempted to contact [redacted] and [redacted] numerous times to replace the missing entertainment center remote and broken headphones that were in the car at time of purchase. No phone calls or correspondece return to satisfaction.

Finally, I have reservation in my concerns of my Extended Warranty contract that I purchased at time of sale.Desired Settlement: Replacement on following item(s)

DVD remote for Entertainment Center

Replace for wireless headphone (1)

Floor Mats

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. Sunrise Toyota personnel resolved all my concerns in a professional manner; especially Bruce R[redacted] General Sales Manager and Joe M[redacted] Assistant Service Manger.

Sincerely,

Review: On April [redacted], 2013 I was contacted by Sunrise Toyota to solicit business. In speaking with [redacted], I explained that due to several circumstances involving the purchase of our last vehicle and also the non-satisfactory repair of another vehicle purchased from the dealership, I was no longer interested in doing business with them. She was apologetic and asked if a manager could contact me. The following day 4/**/13, I was contacted by [redacted]. She promised to fix my truck ( 2007 Toyota Tundra , drivers seat), and to provide me with a great deal on a new car. She explained that the repair would be made in good faith, regardless of whether or not I chose to do business with them again. Since that date, [redacted] has not returned my phone calls when promised. She actually asked me to come to the dealership one day and was not there. Several times, Mary promised to return my call and did not (4/**/13, 5/*/13, 5/**/13, 5/**/13) I called and left a message for the service manager, [redacted], which went unreturned (5/*/13). I have called the general manager, [redacted], and left a voicemail requesting a return call (5/**/13). [redacted] has also not returned my call. I was instructed to bring my vehicle to the dealership on four occasions throughout April, 2013 and May 2013, and each time was provided with a different reason as to why the work could not be performed yet. In one of my most recent conversations, it was explained that they would not do the repair until I leased a new vehicle. To summarize, they promised to fix a repair that was not done correctly in their shop the first time, asked me to come to the dealership to evaluate my vehicle four times, showed me new vehicles instead, attempted to get me to lease a new vehicle, and then refused to return my phone calls or perform the work that was promised in the first place.Desired Settlement: Please perform the work that was promised by [redacted] and [redacted], the general manager.

Caveat emptor. "Let the buyer beware"

Two months ago I purchased a used Tacoma from Neil W[redacted] at sunrise toyota.

When we made the deal the tacoma's tailgate was supposed to be repaired and the pin-striping removed. I called the day I was to pick up the truck to confirm that it was ready, but when I got there neither of the two things were done.

Even though the truck was not ready I foolishly believed Mr. W[redacted] when he assured me that " he gets them in all the time and he would replace the tailgate as soon as he get one that matches"

That changed to "it may take a few weeks" when I asked him to put it in writing.

But Mr. W[redacted] did not want to put in writing because "even though he does stuff like this all the time it would cost him his job if the owner found out" so we went back and forth for almost two hours. Finally Mr W[redacted] did write me a note and I agreed that I would give him up to two months to fulfill his promise.

I tried calling him a few times, and when I did finally manage to catch him, he explained that he had " no reason to return my calls because he did not have any news"

After two months I gave up and had it repaired locally. I then sent an email to Mr. W[redacted], copying Bruce R[redacted] the general manager. Mr. R[redacted] called and told me he was very upset and would come up with some type of resolution.

He promised to call me back on 9/**, he did not.

Then he was going to call me on 9/**, he did not.

Finally he was going to call on 9/**, he did not.

Sunrise toyota is exactly what we think of when we hear the term used car salesman.
