I contacted my daughter's new preschool via telephone and email. I requested a school calendar for the remainder of the school year since there is a lack of information and the calendar on the school website. I was answered in a vague manner the holidays that the kids have off. One of these "holidays" includes Black Friday. My specific question to Nina *** (director) was intercepted by a Dr. Eric ***. He stated the based on my (reasonable) questions that he needed to meet with me "face to face" and that "you do not know much about our school."I proceeded to let him know that I was unable to meet with him face due to a situational reason. I was also asking questions to learn about the school. The email then was intercepted by Nina *** stating: "Dr. ***, you so mean." -this email obviously wasn't meant for me.
This indicates the lack of professionalism and unethical practices through this conversation raises significant concern for my pre-schooler, who just transferred states and schools to attend at this establishment. I am extremely concerned about the safety and welfare of my child, if the director of the school uses bullying tactics for parents, how are the children being treated and what are they teaching them if this is the treatment towards parents? This poses health concerns for children with their social/emotional development and intelligence.
Dear Sir/Madam,Ms. is NOT the primary custodian of a child who is enrolled in our school. When she asked for information about the child’s schedule at our school, we provided very detailed general information on our school’s schedule. However, when she asked further about the specific attendance information of the said child, and requested to telephone in for teacher and parent conference, we had to respect the rights and wishes of the primary custodians of the child and decline the request.Sunset Academy serves over 140 children. Protecting the privacy of our children is very important.
