I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, Sunset Garbage has been in contact with me, and have resolved this issue, they have reinstated my services and have added the $fee to my first billWhich was the same thing that I had asked them about on the first phone call

In response to Mr.[redacted] compliant, I have attached a copy of Sunset Garbage Collection,Inc. statementinformation to customers which is on the back side of each statement.  Under the "Fees and Charges''section of the statement it states that the account balance plus one month's...

service must be paid in advance to resume service. It also states that a $30 fee will be charged when roller carts are pulled due to non-payment.Mr.[redacted] was sent a monthly statement  on 05/26/2016 with the balance due of $52.11. A monthly statement was sent again on 06/26/2016 with the balance due of $87.11. Mr.[redacted] service was stopped for non­ payment on 07/20/2016. A monthly statement was sent on 07/26/2016 with a balance due of $87.89. A monthly statement was sent again on 08/26/2016 with a balance due of $99.20. Our online bill pay system is updated once a month with each monthly statement.Mr.[redacted] roller carts where removed on 08/29/2016 and a $30 charge was added to his account. On09/09/2016,Mr.[redacted] made a $99.20 payment online and then called our office to reinstate service. Our customer service representative informed Mr.[redacted] that although he had paid the online balance of $99.20 his balance due to Sunset Garbage as of 09/09/2016 was $129.20 and the full account balance would need to be paid before service is resumed. There was no request by Sunset Garbage for the additional one month's advance service fee of $35.Sunset Garbage understands that sometimes budgets are tight and a little extra time may be needed to pay a monthly bill and we are willing to work with customers prior to their service being stopped.  Once service is stopped,unfortunately,it means that severalmonths have gone by without a payment.  It is our stated policy that in order to resume service the account balance must be paid in full. The account balance may include chargesand/or fees that are not yet billed on a monthly  statement or posted to an online bill pay system.
