In October 2017, my husband and I ordered the grave marker for our baby’s grave. The $2,000 downpayment we made came out of our account on October 10. We were told it would be 8-12 weeks for the marker to come in. Three weeks ago, over 15 weeks since our down payment cleared our account, the marker still was not there. I spoke to staff at that time and I was told that the lady who is in charge of the markers was not in on the weekends but she would call me on Monday. *** then told me that the marker was “being picked from the warehouse” on Friday, and the marker would be in on February 9. I was told they are installed “right away” and I would receive a call once it was installed. It is now February 10, almost 18 weeks since our down-payment cleared (and also several weeks since we completely paid off the marker). I visited my son’s grave today, and the marker has not been installed. I still have not heard from the office, and when I tried to go in to the office today to find out what was going on, there was a sign on the door with new hours posted. We are beyond frustrated at this point. How do parents even begin to find some sense of healing when their child still doesn’t even have a properly marked grave?

First, we sincerely apologize for any frustration or disappointment this situation may have caused. The customer contracted with us for this marker on October 3rd, 2017. The order was placed with the manufacturer on October 11th. The 8-12 weeks stated is the time it typically takes the manufacturer to source the material and produce a marker. After making their final payment on January 8, 2018, the manufacturer removed the completed marker from their warehouse on January 12th, and then shipped it to the cemetery. The marker was installed once weather permitted on February 14th. We also apologize for not notifying the customer in a timely manner that the marker was set.We appreciate the opportunity to respond to you on this matter.
