none;">Regarding Client’s concerns. I have left several voicemails for the Client at the phone number he left for me. In each of those voice mails messages I have expressed my desire to speak with him, to learn what his concern is and left my direct office number as well as leaving my email address as the Client had requested. At no time has the Client expressed to me what his concern is or how I may assist him. He indicated in one voice mail that he would email to me pictures which would “speak a thousand words”. I have never received an email.
I do apologize for anything we may have done that has upset our Client and I am more than happy to address whatever concerns the Client has and assist in any way that I can.

The vehicle was towed in to us with a complaint of transmission slipping and check engine light on. We verified the trans slippage, found codes supporting a mechanical slippage in the transmission. We sampled the trans fluid through a filter and found metal debris in the fluid. The system...

voltage at the time of failure was 13.9 volts, which is normal. We replaced the drained fluid and made our recommendation for trans replacement. After replacing the fluid the transmission was shifting normally. However the failure that brought the vehicle in on the tow truck has not been repaired. The battery being replaced will not cause slipping, only shift point variance.
I would be inclined to drive the vehicle while it is working, but the failure has not been corrected.

Sunset is sometimes defined as the daily disappearance of the sun below the horizon. I now define it as the sudden and unexpected disappearance of $7526.44 from my wallet.
I bought a 2013 CRV from Sunset Honda in San Luis Obispo on 12/18/15 for $19,788.00. It had 28,378 miles on it. I soon realized I did not feel safe in it because of its large pillars and blindspots. I did research on-line and found that the CRV's blindspots have been an issue for others. One reviewer discussed the pointy D pillars which significantly reduce rear visibility. Another wrote that visibility may not be good for some people because of the panel between the side and back windows. Another said the CRV has limited visibility due to the rear window design. Yet another compared the CRV to the RAV 4 and concluded the CRV's rearward visibility is compromised by its narrow rear window.
On 12/31/15, thirteen days after I bought the used CRV, I called Chris B., Sunset Honda owner. He told me there was nothing he could do about my concern about the safety issues of the CRV.
I drove the car for an additional 4 days and on 1/4/16 I e-mailed Mr. B and the two salesman who sold me the car. I again expressed my concern about safety. None of them responded.
I continued to drive the car only when absolutely necessary. I called the salesman and he suggested I come in to look at other cars. I made an appointment and I looked at other Hondas while Robert Naste, Pre-Owned Vehicle Manager, looked my CRV over.
A few days later one of the salesmen let me know that Mr. Nasty would do one of the following: (1) Let me return the used car I had owned for twenty-five days and they would give me $14,000 for the car I just paid $19,788 for. This did not include $1789.44 for sales tax, fees, etc. (2) I could buy a new Civic and pay $10,000 in addition to the $21,577.44 I paid for the used CRV I just bought.
I remain shocked that Sunset Honda would pay me less than I paid for the used car twenty-five days before. I would have expected something like that had the CRV been new. I felt that paying over $30,000 for a new Civic was also absurd. I made the tough decision to go to another auto dealer and trade in the CRV and buy a new car with an excellent safety record, as well as excellent visibility. This meant losing $7526.44.
And to make my Sunset Honda experience even more repulsive, I had to go in and sign a refund request at the dealership on January 14, 2016 for a refund of $1784.00 I paid for an extended warranty. Hanc M., Finance Manager, promised I would have my refund within 30 days. When I called on 2/22/16 and the Sunset employee I spoke to found the check request, she said no check had been written because the request was marked hold.
While it is obvious Sunset Honda will continue to do anything to keep sales and profits up, if my review helps even one consumer avoid going through what I went through at Sunset Honda, I am glad I took the time to write about my experience. God Bless America and our freedom of speech.

These statements prove that Sunset Honda does not even respect the office of the Revdex.com. A response 18 days later after it was filed!! Nothing but excuses, which adds to my frustration. If Mr. Diaz would have attempted to contact me “multiple times” as he stated. I wouldn't have filed a complaint with the Revdex.com. Further more, they have my e-mail on file and I see no e-mails, as an attempt to contact me either. Thank God for technology. My cell phone company keeps a log of every call I make and every call I receive. I just reviewed my log history from 17 April 2016 through 17 May 2016 and I see no incoming calls from Sunset Honda or any numbers originating in San Luis Obispo. I do see the multiple calls I did make to Sunset Honda. Again, I'm not asking for compensation nor gimmicks as pacifiers, even though, an item destroyed by their service personnel is over $100.00 value. I was looking for an acknowledgment and a practical solution, so their service personnel could be more careful the next time around, since I may be taking my vehicle for repairs at least for the next 2 years. Based on the statement that Mr. Diaz made to the Revdex.com. It proves to me that Sunset Honda management is less that truthful and I would never be able to do business with them ever again. I would like for Sunset Honda to remove the restrictions of the elite extended service protection they sold me, confined to Sunset Honda only, to Honda of Santa Maria or any Honda service location other than Sunset Honda.

Review: Purchased CRV at night on 26th got it home, very next day CRV on start up making ratchet noise. AT start up, thought it was starter. Sunset Honda advised to keep driving it and see if it goes away or gets worse. It got worse took it in and they replaced starter. Still did it. I talked to manager and he said they had a service bulletin on this, but Honda car not find a fix for ityet? It is the vtc actuator valve. Why wasn't I told about this before purchase? Did Sunset Honda know about this and still sold vehicle.

Original service bulletin September 24, 2014 #09-0**Desired Settlement: I want another CRV or want mine fixed. I shouldn't have to hear this noise almost everytime at start up.

To the best of our knowledge there has been no incident of failure related to this sound, however we fully appreciate the annoyance it creates. The bulletin that Mr. Rau mentions is still on a hold by American Honda. We have made numerous inquiries to American Honda in the last few weeks seeking status of a correction. As of this afternoon, there is no update. This afternoon I have inquired of our American Honda Representative as to the possibility of even a temporary correction until a more long solution is established. I am waiting for a response. We fully appreciate Mr. Raus concern and are actively doing everything we can do to stay on top of the matter. When a correction for the concern is provided by American Honda we will expeditiously implement that correction for Mr. Rau.T[redacted] Service Manager

Review: The battery for the second time went completely dead. In October of 2010. The car was checked out and they decided the battery was the only problem and a new battery was put in. On 2/25/13 the battery again died and I called Sunset Honda to replace the battery that was still under its 100 month warranty. The battery has a two year free replacement warranty and my new battery was still under two years old. I called Sunset and was told that they would pro-rate my battery but that they would not honor the date the new battery was put in but instead use the date the original battery was put in the car when it was delivered to Sunset Honda back in 2008. I disagreed with this but was willing to go ahead and purchase a new battery at their prorated rate of 50% as the battery should have had half of it's life left. On 2/26/13, after calling Sunset Honda I was told to come down and get my new battery, I would receive 1/2 off. My father went to get the battery, as I was at work and when he arrived he stated that the Manager, Sandy, told him she did not know who I spoke to but that because the car was out of warranty the battery was no longer covered. In their warranty manual on page 33 it clearly states that during first 36 months the battery is completely covered after that there is a chart of the remaining months. My battery falls under the 46 to 55 months and is covered at 50%, if you go by the 2008 date, if you go by the date on the new battery that is in the car its freeDesired Settlement: See Complaint Text
