Review: I called Sunset Water on 9/2/14 because my water softener was not working. Appointment was scheduled for 9/8/14. They came out and told me what they needed to replace and the price. After about 30 minutes of repairs I was told that everything was good to go and I would have soft water, the total bill was $201.03. On 9/9/14 around 7am I noticed the softener was stuck on brine cycle. I called Sunset several times that day and finally left a message. The morning of 9/10/14 I received a call from Sunset Water that they would have someone come out and take a look around noon. I am told now that my timer is bad and it will cost an additional $150.00 or it may not be the whole timer but might just need a few parts from another timer. I called Sunset and left a message. I called Sunset Water to fix my softener and I was told it would work before he left but instead I am being told that it needs another part. I feel the technician should have ran through the cycles to make sure that it was working properly. I can go buy a new softener at [redacted] for $400. If the tech would have been thorough in doing his job and told me that it would cost me around $350 to repair my softener I would not of had it repaired.
