On 6/23/these vehicles were towed from S Campbell in Springfield MOWe were called to tow them by M-park the company that is hired by At Home Here to monitor their parking lots to remove any not permitted vehicle on the lotWe by no
means set and wait for cars to park then tow them, we are simply called by M-park to remove the vehicles that are illegally parkedIt is also my understanding that all residents have been notified that parking is enforced and any visitors have to be parked in the street or have a visitors pass from the officeMissouri state statue requires there be a sign on each entrance to the property that are required to be 17xand our signs our located at each entrance as well as on the building and our signs are 18xto exceed the statue requirementsOur company has no way of knowing when the vehicles arrive at the lot or how long they have been there or who they belong to as we do not go door to door to find vehicle ownerWe do understand it is an inconvenience to have your vehicle towed due to a "tow away zone" especially that all belong to the same family but our fees are set and are posted on the signs as wellAs far as them being towed in minutes that is not the case as that is impossible we only had one truck running that night to tow and this same truck could not have been able to make it to the lot and back to our impound lot times in minutes

This is not a true depiction of what happened. Our company was called by the property manager to remove a vehicle that was parked in a posted private, permit only parking lot. Our company responded to the call and was in the process of removing...

the vehicle when the owner returned to the vehicle. Our company as a curtsey will release the customer's vehicle back to them at half of the posted towing fees, as long as the owner moves the vehicle from the private lot, which was done. Our company is set up to accept cash or credit cards on scene. This particular customer has made threats to contact any outlet they can including their attorney, the news, and any other association. Our legal council advises us against any type of communication with anyone that has threatened to sue our company. We would have been more than happy to discuss the situation in a civil manner but the owner and his father wanted to handle this by yelling and making threats and were asked to leave our property.

Our company can understand the consumer's frustration with her vehicle being towed and having to pay to receive her car out of impound. However we are simply performing a service requested by the property manager of the...

private property the vehicle was parked on. Our company's signs are clearly posted at each entrance to the private lot the car was removed from. The fees for a private property removal tow are higher than a normal owner request tow due to the liability and the high umbrella of insurance our company carries to be able to perform private property tows. We do sympathize with the consumer on this matter but unfortunately our fees are set and posted on the same sign that is posted as a "tow away zone" (see attached picture of actual sign). This customer in particular was a designated driver for some other friends at a bachelorette party and came into our office with intoxicated guests who them proceeded to urinate in our parking lot because we do not offer a public restroom. After the transaction took place and the consumer left with her vehicle I walked back into our lobby to see that they had dropped several mini bottles of alcohol in the floor which then also had to be cleaned up. Regardless of the above instances that took place, the consumer parked in a tow away zone clearly marked with signs and her vehicle was impounded and she was charged the set fees displayed on the signs that she did not read when parking in the private lot.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 17, 2016/06/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I find it interesting that the company doesn't appear to have a website where their fees are listed either. That means that whenever you call to get your car, they can (and do) quote whatever price they'd like. There is a number to call on the property if your car has been towed, but contrary to what they claim, there was no towing fee listed on the property.
