Mr [redacted] was scheduled for installation on Friday May 27th for an arrival between 3:and 4: Our installer was running behind and contacted the customer to say he would be very late or we could set up a new date and time Mr [redacted] contacted me and never even gave me a chance to reschedule He wanted his money back and honestly was rude and told me he had ways to let everyone know how bad we were Since this happened, he has not only proceeded with a Revdex.com compliant, he has taken to social media and said very derogatory things and things that were hurtful and not truthful His order was taken on May 5th with an approximate delivery of four weeks We were ironically ahead of schedule and hence why he was set for May 27th(about three weeks from order date) This complaint is soooooooooooo unjustified We are prepared to instal his draperies and he simply needs to contact our customer service department(***) at [redacted] to schedule a date and time

has paperwork to show me that his draperies are a lifetime warranty, then I will go ahead and do at no chargeBottom line is that he has no paperwork showing this nor do we have anything that states that draperies are a lifetime warrantyMr*** has lining on his draperies as do most of our clients and over time, sun can make lining fade or dry rotLining is protection for his draperies and it has done its job over yearsWe can not control the temperature and intensity of the sun through any clients windowsIf lining becomes damaged, we prorate over the first seven yearsHe is in his eight yearBut, we have offered to repair these at our COST which is $He really should be paying double this as it is his eight yearMr*** has had one shade that has "acted" up on him periodically and we have always taken care of the issue as this does have the lifetime warrantyWe have sent it back to the manufacturer and if they can fix, they willIf they can not, then they will replace at no chargeGoing back to the draperies, I stopped my production department the other day and had them spend time as we already have replaced the liningI tried to explain to Mr*** that draperies are in some ways like carsYou have warranty for a few years and then things happen that need fixingHe may pick up the draperies at any time and pay the $Candidly, this is very frustrating to my staff and me as we work hard to handle situationsI think we have been more than fair with Mr*** and this complaint candidly is unjustifiedHe may pick up his draperies and he must pay the $with a cashiers checkThank you

Mr. [redacted] did contact me on Wednesday as we had been there the week before on Friday, May 22, 2015. We lost time with the Memorial Day weekend and holiday and began working on corrections Tuesday when our...

workroom was back from the holiday. What should have happened that did not was that our installer should have notified the decorator about the issues as I can see how the time elapsing over the holiday seemed like an eternity to our customer. For this I am truly sorry and have made corrections. This installer is very seasoned but newer to us and I have spoken to him about how and what communication should have occured.
In the custom drapery business, there occasionally can be issues that arise as it is a very "precise" business. In terms of the bedroom, nothing was "cut wrong"..the draperies were too long and we had this corrected by Tuesday afternoon. Our business is measured in very precise numbers and we had the draperies slightly longer than they should be...a very easy correction. In terms of the living room, we put the draperies up on the customer's own rods and there is no way for them to return to the wall.My designer discussed using his rods and this at time of design consultation. In terms of being see thru, customer said to me on phone they did not have lining. After I hung up, I went and looked and like 99% of our draperies, yes there was lining. The patterns were slightly off and we corrected this too on Tuesday. In terms of the fullness, they are made to custom fullness and in discussing with my installer, there is no issue as we are right on target. The fabric is 100% correct and matches exactly what we ordered as our decorator verified the fabric with the book and the actual product. When he spoke to me on the phone, this was never brought up and now it is?? same with the draperies not returning to the wall..never was brought up to me and it really is a mute issue as it is impossible with using his own rods.
Mr.[redacted] did express to me his unhappiness and I assured him we would take care of everything. In the custom drapery business, if anything occurs, my company and employees take ownership and we make it right. The issues of what we needed to correct were very minor and as said, we had these completed in one day. To refund the customer his money is a "lose lose" situation all the way around. We stand behind our work and when situations arise, we make it right.
My decorator spoke to Mrs. [redacted] after I spoke to Mr. [redacted] that day and she said to my decorator that they were contacting you if we did not refund their money and hung up. I wrote them the following letter that day and it reads as follows:
"Thank you for placing your drapery order with Sunshine Drapery. I am sorry that the original installation on May 22, 2015 did not get finalized. The drapery business is very precise and we find occasionally issues will arise that need follow up to visit the home. We certainly never intend for this to happen, but when it does, we stand behind our work and move quickly to get the customer taken care of. we have done so with your order and are ready to reinstall. It does us or you no good to "forget" the order and refund the deposit, as this is just not an option. I would like your decorator [redacted] to be on the reinstallation, so please contact her directly at XXX-XXX-XXXX to arrange a date and time.
One last thought..my installer did spend 2 1 /2 hours there working with the customers to do everything to make them happy. This is an exceptional amount of time for this size order as the customers are elderly and it just was the right thing to do. He also assured them we would get all corrected and back out timely....and yes, he did get paid for his work. I think my position is still very clear and the customer still should contact their decorator so we can get her and Mr. [redacted](our installer) back as all is ready and has been ready. Thank you!
