I contacted the customer and they said they would withdraw the complaint. Since you have sent a followup letter it appears they haven't done it yet. It turns out this is a misunderstanding. The customer thought they had been shipped products that were years old. This was
an unfounded assumption brought about my the manufacturers agent misinterpreting the lot number. To prove this I was on a call with a supervisor from Nature's Sunshine and the customer. The supervisor looked up the lot numbers and found out one of the products was manufactured in late and the other was February of this year.The agent has been corrected for any future mistakes of this nature. In May the manufacturer changed over their lot numbers so they can no longer be interpreted in the old manner. The agent mistakenly was using the old method.The Herbs Place only ships out of the manufacturer's warehouse so they never touch the product. Nor, do they have any control over the product expiration dates in the manufacturer's warehouseConsequently, the agent was actually saying that his warehouse had year old product. Which further clarifies the absurdity of his answer to the customer.We asked the customer if they were satisfied and they said they wereThey also stated they will start to use the products just like they had planned.We were all glad this happened because the agent needed to be taught the correct response should this question come up again
