CALL, ESPECIALLY DURING THE WINTER SEASON WE WERE NOT IN THE AREA AT THE TIME OF THEIR REQUEST ALSO OUR COMPANY AT THAT TIME WAS SHORT HANDED WITH DRIVERS AND THE WEATHER HAD OUR US BACKED UP FOR A FEW DAYS SO WE WERE UNABLE TO MAKE THE DELIVERY IN A TIMELY FASHION. Review: We have been ordering propane from Sunshine Fuels for several years now. In Feb when the driver came to make a delivery he told us that he couldn't fill the tank because of the rust but we could get half full. he said when we are almost empty to call to make arrangements for a new tank to be installed and filled. My wife called 2 weeks ago and was told that there wasn't any tanks available until last week. she called on Monday to see when they would be making the delivery. The rep on the phone said that she had to speak with the boss. She called her back a few hours later to tell her that the boss will not deliver to our house because my father who has a house down the street from me hadn't paid his bill. She tried to explain that we have separate accounts. I pay cash to the driver when he gets here, I don't understand how we could have been in contact this whole time and now that I have 10 lbs of propane left they tell me that they won't deliver to the house. At this point I called after finding out what happened and the rep told me the same thing that they would not be making a delivery and that I would need to find another company for propane services. Her explanation from the boss was that because previously we told the boss that we were related and we once gave a bill to my Dad that they had the right to refuse a delivery and I feel that's not true because we paid cash when the driver delivered and our accounts should never have been linked together.Desired Settlement: I feel that I deserve a refund of the few pounds of propane still in the tank and an apology for how they treated my family. I also want them to come pick up their tank. We told them that we were finding another company to deliver to us and want the tank gone. I feel if it's not picked up in a reasonable amount of time that I would like to charge them for storage of their tank which looks like an eyesore now on my property.

We are sorry that the customer is unhappy with our payment policy. Two years ago the complainant's wife had informed us that they would be paying a large overdue bill that belonged to her father in law. This is the reason the accounts were "linked together". There was never any attempt made to pay this bill. When the driver made a delivery to the complainant's address he was not aware of the family's balance to our company. It was when we were going to replace their tank that the office staff noticed the large balance that was owed to the company. We tried explaining to [redacted] and his wife but they became upset. We picked up our tank on August **, 2013. Again we apologize [redacted] is so upset. As far as the propane refund, we would be happy to take it off the $75 tank pick up fee. Thank you.
