Patients auto insurance information was received and billed on 6.5.14
7.10.14- Auto insurance denied payment because medical benefits had been exhausted.  Balance was now patient responsibility
9.2.14 and 10.13.14- Statements for $543 were mailed to the patient’s address in the attached letter
11.24.14  No response from statements and patient was turned over to a collection agency
4.8.15 Patient’s health Insurance [redacted] was obtained by patient via a phone call
5.3.15  [redacted] paid on claim.  Information forwarded to collection agency.

This company will not work with uninsured or self-pay patients. My wife and I don't have insurance, but we do belong to a healthshare group where members help share each others medical bills.
My wife went to the ER for pain and bleeding. Every bill we received we were given a self-pay/uninsured discount except from Sunshine Radiology. They refuse to give any kind of breaks to those who have no insurance. Instead of taking a discounted rate up front they are willing to be paid $20 per month. I would never recommend this company to anyone and if it was possible I would never use their services in any hospital. They business practice shows they don't care about their patients or customers for that matter. They only care about sucking as much profit out of people as possible.

Review: This company is FRAUDULANTLY billing patients privately without 1. Billing the insurance company 2. Sending statements to the patient for correction 3. Failing to provide an itemized breakdown of what they are billing for and what they have already been paid.

I have never once received a statement showing that I have a balance on my account despite what the representatives have stated. Had I received a statement I would have been sure to provide them with the insurance information (which was already on file). The account was since placed into collections without any notification statement or phone call to me. After I called them to give them the policy information I was told the account must remain in collections and continue to negatively impact my credit score in the meantime until the insurance company paid. THIS IS FRAUD you can not bill a patient privately while waiting for their insurance company to pay for services. The company claims they billed my auto insurance first and were denied however they have failed to send me an itemized detail of the charges they have billed to my auto insurance and why it has been denied. Since the claim will now be reaching its limit for timely filing, any charges that are denied should be a provider write off since they failed to follow up on the claim and file it in a timely manner. Since this is also due to an auto accident of which there is an attorney involved (which my attorney had provided pertinent information about the case) my account should have never been placed in collections to begin with.Desired Settlement: Bill my insurance correctly and take my account out of collections. And stop fraudulently billing customers.

Review: [redacted]On 9/17/14 I went to ER at Florida Hospital in Zephyrhills Florida for CT scan as I had been in a auto collision that afternoon. I received billing from both Sunshine Radiology in Zephyrhills and Sunshine Radiology in Pittsburg Pennsylvania. I have spoken with billing in Pittsburg numerous occasions.

Jan. 6, 2015 spoke with business ref. no [redacted] to tell them CT scan was auto related and [redacted] should not be billed, it was going to be paid through [redacted]. [redacted] was billed $157.00. Remaining bal. is $56.36.

Mar. 6, 2015 spoke with Aileen at Sunshine Radiology Pittsburg gave her [redacted] billing information. Informed [redacted] paid $157.00 and posted 12/30/14.

Spoke with Daniel and then Annie on April 16, 2015. At this time, [redacted] called Sunshine Radiology due to me getting nowhere with a definite balance and wanted intermediary spokesperson. We had three-way phone conversation and we were told a bill would be mailed to me for $70.60. [redacted] mailed me a check to pay bill.

When I received bill, it was for $56.36 so I paid it. The address the bill was sent from was 7[redacted]. ###-###-####.

Since this was paid, I have continued to get billing from Pittsburg. I went to Florida Hospital at [redacted] and spoke to Carmen. She said this is not a billing address of theirs (Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.). Carmen phone number is ###-###-####.

Armando phone number in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania is ###-###-####. He was the last person at that location that I spoke to and he was suppose to be researching it. I have not heard from Armando. Instead, I received another bill from Pittsburg for $56.36.

Sunshine Radiology should not be billing for Florida Hospital in Zephyrhills. Check number for $56.36 is [redacted] dated June 17, 2015.

The issues are:

1. I have paid $56.36 and mailed it to the address in Zephyrhills.

2. I continue to get bills from Pittsburg, PA for the same amount.

3. Pittsburg and Zephyrhills do not appear to be connected, in other words, do not work for one another.

Please help me get this resolved as I have tried talking to managers with no resolutions or return phone call.

Thank you,Desired Settlement: Since the check was mailed to [redacted] I have not received another bill from Zephyrhills. I do, however, continued to be harassed with bills from Sunshine Radiology at [redacted]. a/k/a Sunshine Radiology LLC [redacted].

Review: I was in a car accident in May 2014. I received services from Sunshine Radiology while in the hospital. They sent me a bill for $444.00 (which were all of the charges from the services) They had both of my insurance carriers on file in which none of them had been billed. I then noticed I was sent to collections for $89 from their company. I received no statements or collection notices between the time of the first statement until checking my credit. Come to find out they got paid $355.20 from my auto insurance and never billed my secondary insurance. Therefore, sent me to collections for $89 and didn't even notify me. When I noticed they sent me to collections I immediately called to see what was going on. Spoke to [redacted] employee #[redacted], he stated that my insurance denied. But my insurance was NEVER BILLED. They then stated the insurance was updated until I called. In which they have had on file the whole time. I checked again about 2 weeks later and it was still there. I called and spoke to [redacted] again and he stated it is on hold until the insurance pays. That was unexceptable so I spoke to [redacted] employee #[redacted] and she gave me the run around about how my insurance information wasn't updated until a year later. Which is not true because they have had it on file the whole time. I told her it is FRAUDLENT to bill someone privately if they have insurance on file. This company has FRAUD written all over it. [redacted] stated they are sending an email to the collection company to remove my name. We will see.Desired Settlement: I would like for the $89 to be removed from my credit.

Review: I made payments to Them while I was waiting for my ins to decide if they would pay it. When my ins. finally paid it I requested a refund of what I had paid .Oct of 2014. I have since been going round and round with them. I have had the ins. co. do a 3 way call and give them all the payment info etc but they still wont fix it. They received the payment on 11-14-14.Desired Settlement: Just get my money back- $231.00
