I am very disappointed in the customer service at Ambetter Sunshine HealthI understand they will not give you any claim status information over the phone if you're a provider's office calling on the original claim submitted--they refer you to their websiteThis means that you have to first register, then wait for someone to call you back to confirm your identify which can take up to hours If you're an out of state provider and just happen to see a patient from Florida--it is redundant to go thru the hassle of getting an account set upIt's a one time thingSecondly, when I tried to set up this client's tax id number--their website won't permit itSo again I am left with no customer service nor any assistance from the payerI can only bill the patient for the balance and let them deal with their insurance company which in my opinion is very patheticThis payer should be made to at least provide customer service to out of state providers who they won't allow to access their websiteThis is another problem with the Obama Health Exchange processThe patients and providers are left to fend for themselvesVery Very Poor Service

This means that you have to first register, then wait for someone to call you back to confirm your identify which can take up to 48 hours. If you're an out of state provider and just happen to see a patient from Florida--it is redundant to go thru the hassle of getting an account set up. It's a one time thing. Secondly, when I tried to set up this client's tax id number--their website won't permit it. So again I am left with no customer service nor any assistance from the payer. I can only bill the patient for the balance and let them deal with their insurance company which in my opinion is very pathetic. This payer should be made to at least provide customer service to out of state providers who they won't allow to access their website. This is another problem with the Obama Health Exchange process. The patients and providers are left to fend for themselves. Very Very Poor Service.
