To Revdex.com, I am responding to complaint # [redacted] I received from [redacted]. [redacted]'s complaint says he played a vending machine that belongs to us at one of our locations. I sent my technician out to the location the vending machine was at. The technician checked the machine, the settings,...

and the meters. The tests he performed showed that the machine did not pay out a prize. I felt the frustration of the customer and did offer a $50.00 gift card as a consolation prize. [redacted] did not want the card and did not accept it. If you have any further questions please contact us. Thank you, [redacted] Sunstar Vending Inc,

[Your Answer Here]
Yes the person did offer me a gift card, and I refused to accept it because I feel like I am right. I put a $10 bill to try and time the machine in order to get the prize. And I know that the key was tugging hard enough to almost rip the plastic right off the prize. My argument to the [redacted]s response  is that he is relying on the word of a machine. After not even showing up to check the machine nearly 2 weeks after the situation occurred. That definitely not fair at all. I believe won that prize and should be awarded the prize because of there tardiness to responded to the situation. I will not accept anything less then the prize I know I won.

Review: I was playing one of Sunstar's vending machine games, which cost $1 per play. Originally we had put in a few dollars to play and indeed it was $1 to play as advertised. However Sunstar decieves consumers because they charge extra to play using a credit card, after checking my bank account to see how much I had spent on trying to win on the vending machine game the charge ended up being $1.20 instead of $1.00 as advertised. I'm very upset about this as I played about 22 games... leading to a total charge of $26.40 instead of $22. This is absolutely a rip off considering there was no clear statement that the game would charge extra if paying by credit, imagine going to a vending machine that says the soda is $1 then finding out you were charge $1.20. This is absolutely absurd sure it's "only" $0.20 but that's a 20% increase in the stated price... absolutely horrible scam these guys are running I hope to take legal action if this isn't resolved.Desired Settlement: The business has the responsiblity to clearly state that it's charging an extra 20% premium if paying by credit, I wouldn't have even made the purchases if I had known it was doing that. If this business is credible in anyway and hopes to avoid a lawsuit it should refund the full amount of money $26.40 because I wouldn't have even played had I known it was charging 20% extra and go to the coney island locations and state that it's $1 to play by cash or $1.20 to play by credit. This is absurd that I even have to mention this.

[Your Answer - I WAS REPEATEDLY TOLD THAT A REPAIRMAN WOULD COME TO MY HOUSE AND LOOK AT AND TRY TO FIX THE MACHINE. OF COURSE, I DON'T EXPECT IT TO BE REPAIRED IF THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, BUT I WAS NEVER TOLD THIS BEFORE. I WOULD LIKE A REPAIRMAN TO LOOK AT THE MACHINE, BEFORE TELLING ME THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE- I AM WILLING TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE CALL.

I am writing a response to a letter we received on November **, 2013 regarding a customer complaint which has additional concerns that was assigned ID#[redacted].

The customer purchased the machine many years ago in 1999. We never offered a lifetime service plan on this machine.

We never promised a repairman.

We're 90% confident we can't fix without parts.

We would be willing to look at the machine if machine was brought to us.

Review: Hello my name is [redacted]. I was recently in a Resturant(4-*-15 at a [redacted] in [redacted]). where a vending machine called Key Master. I put $10 in the machine to play 10 consecutive times. So on my second to last attempt, I believe I won an iPad Air. The key went completely into the allowed hole and even started to pull the prize out. As it was pulling towards the front of the machine (which was about halfway to the front), the plastic surrounding the prize was flimsy and it released the key. Sending the prize back into its regular place. I feel like the company set it up for no winners of the bigger prizes. So I called the vending machine company and asked to speak with someone about the situation. They didn't respond to me for 12 days after I called them. And then they said to me that I didn't win. Now there where other patrons in the Resturant who could verify that I did win. As well as the [redacted]. I feel like the machine is either broken or is rigged not to let people win. I played that machine 5 times prior to putting in the $10 to play consecutively. The person I did speak to did offer me a gift card. Which I did not accpet. Would like the prize that I feel I won. Please help me get some sort of resolution. My contact number is [redacted]. Thank you and have a good day.,Desired Settlement: I would like the prize I believe I won which is an IPad Air.
