I am writing this letter in response to the letter we received dated 02/26/Mr*** came in to our repair facility and requested a quote to replace the motor in his Ford Ranger with a used motorAfter giving him the quote he changed his mind and requested that we rebuild his
original motor thus increasing the price of the repair considerablyThe motor had to be sent to the machine shop and the machine shop had to order all new parts for it which resulted in more time and more moneyThen Mr*** also requested that we replace the clutch while the truck was in our repair facilityAgain, a repair that was not part of the original quoteBecause of the high mileage of the motor everything needed replacing and Mr.*** was informed of all prices prior to the repairIn addition the machine shop said they would not warranty the motor unless Mr *** replace the radiator and intake manifoldHe was informed and we were told to replace both resulting in further charges
Immediately after the motor returned from the machine shop and was installed in the vehicle we noticed that a seal that was installed by the machine shop was leaking We replaced the seal at no further charge to Mr*** as we billed the machine shop for that repair however, that did take longer to finish the repairMr*** was informed that the repair was completed and the amount of the charges (all of which he gave us the authority to do)The additional charges which Mr*** agreed to were exactly what he was quoted at each conversation regarding the repairsHowever, after the work was completed we then did not hear from Mr*** for several daysWe repeatedly called and sent letters and did not receive any wordFinally, in Oct I sent a letter letting him know that we would charge storage and the bill would only get higherAgain, no responseFinally, we turned the matter over to our attorneyWe have attached both letters and a copy of the original repair order signed by Mr***Mr*** has not attempted to contact us for quite some time now and we have no options available to us but to pursue this legally
We have been in business for over years here in Page, ArizonaWe enjoy an excellent reputation and do everything in our power to help our customersMr*** paid $dollars to get the work started but I think the rest of the money did not become available to him and therefore he could not pick up his truckI am very sorry for the feelings Mr*** has but I do not believe there is any wrong doing on our partIf Mr, *** would contact us we would be more than willing to work out an agreement that possibly we both could live withHowever, we have been unsuccessful in any attempts to communicate with Mr***
I hope this gives you some clarity as to this particular situationWe will await your response however, we will be proceeding with the action advised by our attorney

I am writing this letter in response to the letter we received dated 02/26/2014. Mr. [redacted] came in to our repair facility and requested a quote to replace the motor in his 2002 Ford Ranger with a used motor. After giving him the quote he changed his mind and requested that we rebuild his...

original motor thus increasing the price of the repair considerably. The motor had to be sent to the machine shop and the machine shop had to order all new parts for it which resulted in more time and more money. Then Mr. [redacted] also requested that we replace the clutch while the truck was in our repair facility. Again, a repair that was not part of the original quote. Because of the high mileage of the motor everything needed replacing and Mr.[redacted] was informed of all prices prior to the repair. In addition the machine shop said they would not warranty the motor unless Mr [redacted] replace the radiator and intake manifold. He was informed and we were told to replace both resulting in further charges.

Immediately after the motor returned from the machine shop and was installed in the vehicle we noticed that a seal that was installed by the machine shop was leaking We replaced the seal at no further charge to Mr. [redacted] as we billed the machine shop for that repair however, that did take longer to finish the repair. Mr. [redacted] was informed that the repair was completed and the amount of the charges (all of which he gave us the authority to do). The additional charges which Mr. [redacted] agreed to were exactly what he was quoted at each conversation regarding the repairs. However, after the work was completed we then did not hear from Mr. [redacted] for several days. We repeatedly called and sent letters and did not receive any word. Finally, in Oct 2013 I sent a letter letting him know that we would charge storage and the bill would only get higher. Again, no response. Finally, we turned the matter over to our attorney. We have attached both letters and a copy of the original repair order signed by Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] has not attempted to contact us for quite some time now and we have no options available to us but to pursue this legally.

We have been in business for over 30 years here in Page, Arizona. We enjoy an excellent reputation and do everything in our power to help our customers. Mr. [redacted] paid $1500.00 dollars to get the work started but I think the rest of the money did not become available to him and therefore he could not pick up his truck. I am very sorry for the feelings Mr. [redacted] has but I do not believe there is any wrong doing on our part. If Mr, [redacted] would contact us we would be more than willing to work out an agreement that possibly we both could live with. However, we have been unsuccessful in any attempts to communicate with Mr. [redacted].

I hope this gives you some clarity as to this particular situation. We will await your response however, we will be proceeding with the action advised by our attorney.

Sincerely,
