Review: Im January 2014 we made reservations for their conference room at the super 8 Oceanside for february 15th. we made arrangements with this motel and the customer service person and the m[redacted]ger Mr. [redacted]. my wife [redacted] asked both personnel if it would be ok to use the electricity from the conference room. Since we were going to use a jumper to entertain the children. We asked again one week prior to the event and AGAIN mr. [redacted] said YES. On February 15th at approximately 1300 hours the jumper was set up. Mr. [redacted] was at his work at Super 8 and was there til 4pm. he never came by and said anything. At around 6pm the night m[redacted]ger [redacted] cmae by and told my wife that we had to shut down the jumper. My wife explained to [redacted] that we had permission from Mr. [redacted] to use the electricity from the the conference room. [redacted] said no. that mr [redacted] told [redacted] that we had to shut it down immediately. so we then called the day manger who had been with mr [redacted] during the signing of the contract and asked to use the electricity. this way we could clear up any miss understandings. so [redacted] called Mr. [redacted] and he was very offensive and nasty while speaking to him via the phone. Mr. [redacted] never came by before leaving his motel to talk to us. he called the night manager to cut us off while we had children playing in the jumper. we were there from approximately 12pm and he never told us we could not use the conference room electricity and he left at 4 pm.Desired Settlement: I want my money back or partial refund. I was appalled at the language and offended by mr [redacted]. I was was being cordial with with him until he started to offend me. he agreed with our request to use his conference room and the electricity. we asked several times and he agreed all these times.

This complaint has missed multiple key points that make the management here at Super 8

Oceanside seem unreasonable. Firstly, the renter of our conference center signed and initialed

under our clause stating "Party jumpers only allowed if powered by a separate generator''. At

the day of the party, February 15th 2014, there was no generator noise from the conference

center. At this point our front desk manager went to check and ask them to disconnect the party

jumper from inside the conference center as this is a safety and fire hazard issue. They

immediately began to yell and curse at her for the request. She came back to the front desk to

inform the manager, [redacted]. He now called them and spoke to them over the phone, and they again

began to yell and curse, which led to the end of the conversation. Finally, the front desk manager

informed them that we would have to call the police to shut the party down since they refused to

cooperate in keeping up with safety and fire hazard standards here at Super 8 Oceanside. The

renter, who is a police officer, finally turned off the party jumper. Then, the renter finally got his

own generator and complied with the rules under which he signed.

Also, there was never any verbal confirmation from Mr. [redacted] at any point in time. If

there was verbal confirmation, why did the renter sign the contract which prohibited him from

plugging in the party jumper into the conference center? Super 8 Oceanside is worried about

nothing other than the safety of the children. If the plug inside the conference center is

disconnected for any reason, the children inside the party jumper are at an extreme risk of being

stuck inside and suffocating. This is why we REQUIRE a separate generator; it is so that there is

no chance of this risk occurring as it's a fire code hazard as well as a safety hazard. The

disappointing fact about this situation is that the renter is law enforcement who does not want to

follow a signed contract, fire codes, or safety concerns which protects the kids that are playing

inside.

This matter is not about the $100.00 deposit (see contract, it is not $200.00), it is about

the safety and fire hazard concerns. We would not usually refund the deposit as he has broken

the terms, but here at Super 8 Oceanside we are firm supporters of our law enforcement,

firefighters, and military. We hope that the renter can understand our dedication to safety here at

Super 8 Oceanside. He can call ahead of time, and set a time to pick up his deposit.

1st - at no point did my wife , my coworkers which are deputy sheriffs, highway patrolmen, police officers , border patrol agents at the party use profanity.

2nd- we never intimidated or harass the officer manager. We were very cordial, respectful. We asked to speak to the owner mr. [redacted].

Review: I stayed at this hotel for one night and left with big red welts all over my back arms and legs. I made them aware of my issue and still rented the room out. When I was explaining to them they were rude and wouldn't give me the number of the person in charge.Desired Settlement: Give me my money back

We have investigated the issue and found that there was no issue found and had any complaint from other guest who stayed here. But as per our customer service policy we want our customer happy all the time during their stay. Even we found no evidence of any issue we will happy to offer FREE NIGHT STAY in our one of the SUITE and have good experience.Please let us know. This place is bad business. .Dont ever [redacted] get any of your credit card information. They'll toe up your money and mess up you bill..Plus they dont even own the property.Its stolen from my friends dead dad..They're running his dad's business illegally

Review: The [redacted] advertising for Super 8 in Oceanside clearly states on the top in a big green headline: "No [redacted] Change or Cancel Fees". Then understand the specific room date, it indicates 'FREE CANCELLATION until 12:00 PM on Aug 1. I simply want to change to a different date. The advertising indicates that I can do this. But the hotel will not allow me to change the date and [redacted] will not allow this either.Desired Settlement: [redacted] refused to help me to make a change and suggested I call the hotel. The hotel suggested I call [redacted]. I would like to change to a different date, or get a refund.
