Unfortunately, I do not have a recording of my Oct. 7 conversation with the hotel during which I requested that all 7 rooms be canceled.  Neither, I suspect, does the hotel have a recording of the conversation.  Therefore, it seems that we have a "he said. she said" situation.  I do know that I have a hotel issued cancellation number for the rooms originally reserved.

Review: Made an online reservation on 9/20/2014 for 7 rooms for the nights of October 17 and 18. Received one confirmation number for the 7 rooms reserved. Had to cancel and telephoned hotel directly to cancel rooms on Oct. 7. Hotel cancellation policy states that rooms must be cancelled by 4:00 P.M. on day of arrival. Checked status of original confirmation number online after cancelling rooms and was informed of successful cancellation and was provided with a cancellation number. Credit card statement arrives and I am charged no-show fee for 3 rooms. Contact hotel who tells me that I only cancelled 4 rooms. I contend that I requested all 7 rooms be cancelled and that the cancellation number I received is proof that all rooms associated with the original confirmation number were cancelled. Hotel won't reconsider and wants me to pay almost $200.Desired Settlement: Refund of no-show charges.

We charged $392.34 ( three rooms for two nights) on October 17th as a no show charge. He then called and said that he cancelled all seven rooms. We had explained to him but he would not argee. We refund him $196.17 ( three rooms for one night) on November 1st. We called him and informed him that we did this.He was ok with that.
