After explaining our issues with the accommodation, we were not offered any discount in the final bill.
We were also told that we should have phoned down and been moved to another room at 11:30 pm. When we said that why? - to be put into another equally unclean room. His response to that was "well you know people do disgusting things in rooms..." Then we were told that the computer was shut off and he could not give us a refund as the bill was final (settled as we checked in). Then he offered us a $20 off our next visit and I said that that was unnecessary as we will never stay here again and he said "ok then give it to somebody else"; I refused to take this hand-written coupon, but I asked him for a copy of my bill.
I would like some form of a discount/refund for this accommodation, as I believe a certain modicum of cleanliness/safety standard to consumers should be a given and an apology from their head office as to their staffs' lack of understanding/client satisfaction.
It was third party reservation.So all charges are done automatically what guest agreed to pay.We gave her our best service as per our knowledge.

I am not happy with their answer because they are blaiming the 3rd party for their service of booking the accommodation. This does not exonerate the accommodation for offering a completely disgusting pig sty of a place for the customer. Do they not clean their rooms after use? I personally do not care what patrons do in their rooms -- what I do care and EXPECT is that when I am paying for accommodation that it is CLEAN. I took several pictures of the filth in that room, I just don't know how I can forward them to your agency to view. That is why I would have appreciated some form of a discount AND AN APOLOGY from someone in that organization.
The "manager" threated to charge my credit card serveral times after cursing me out over the phone when I called to ask a couple questions.
I phoned the hotel in saskatoon as I am in Regina. After reading the reviews online about the place it raised a few questions. I asked if someone can see to make sure the room is clean as I will be arriving late and don't know what time house keeping is there unitl. I asked if the hotel is still under renos. The so called " manager" accused me of making up lies, and started to get very agitated. I asked if I could cancel because I didn't feel safe doing business there and he the said it doesn't matter he has my credit card and can charge me for 2 weeks if he wants. I said I would just call *** as that is who I booekd through and he said "go ahead, im just another privlaged Canadian who pays for a 2 star hotel and wants a 5 star hotel" He then started *** yelling. I then hung up and called my credit card company to make sure he did not have my inofrmaiton. I then booked at a different hotel in saskatoon and can prove I never stayed at their hotel.
I would like my night refunded. They said it was too late to cancel.
