So I came in and gave them the estimation of 4,600.00 for the section that wasn't done. And because the first portion they...
poured wasn't done right, I gave them an estimation of 850.00 to fix the hills and bumps by pouring 2-3 ins extra on top to smooth them out.
The day of pouring concrete, two of my finishers couldn't locate the job site. And because of the distance and forest there was no cell-phone connection in the area. Only my, finisher, and 2 helpers. I was going to relay the concrete, but the concrete trucks arrived already. However, we went on pouring the concrete, we din' go home until almost dark. They said it's look good.
After a day or two, we came back with concrete cutter saw to do cutting for expansion joins. Somehow, the machine didn't cut properly. Some spots it goes down deeper, and slipped off the line. Then [redacted] said, she doesn't like it. And I agreed. Then I told her that I will remove that portion because there was a little low spot there also where water settles. And I would get another machine to do the rest. She said to wait till her husband comes back form work.
Next day, they called me they preferred to do the whole work all over again. I knew it would be hard on me financely. Because I don't have very much left. After paying the concrete, and workers. And way, I agreed that we will remove all the poured concrete and redo them all over again.
So I rent a Bop Cat, a truck, 2 concrete saw machines, and started demolition. It took us almost 2 days for demolition alone. [redacted] complaint about the water, she said too muddy, too messy, and use too much water. I tried to explain,there is no other way of cutting concrete but using water so concrete saws could work well.
Any way we finished demolition and stacked the debres away from jobsite. They said some of their friends want to use them. I decided whatever their friends don't use, then we'll haul them away. We then waited for a day or two to get dry. Then my son and one helper went back and instaled the forms preparing for pour.
Then we ordered a big truck to haul 12 yds of gravel on Friday Oct 2nd The driver said, he will deliver it Monday morning, Oct 5th. They don't work wknd.
I had to go to the Bank to get some money for the gravels the won't open until 9:30 AM. Then it took me another 45 minutes to travel to job-site, [redacted]'s house on the hill in Camas from Portland.
As I got to job site, [redacted] started yelling and screaming, I didn't know what was wrong with her. The truck was there with gravels. I got off my truck and walked toward the truck driver to pay for the gravels. She sweared repeatedly to me with F words. And said, you're fired, and get out from my property. The truck had been here for hours. She said you want me to pay for the gravels? "I'm paying for the gravels, I I said, I'm late because I had to go to the Bank to pick up some money for the truck of gravel. She just didn't listen. But screaming, you leave my property, as I walked to my pick up truck, she rushed to her water hose and turned it on, and started shooting at me, I quickly got in my truck, but the window was down. She kept shooting water on myf ace. I finally sticked the truck key in and turne don the truck. The windows started going up slowly and saved me from suffocation. I almost run out of breath. She started picking up a rock to throw at me, so I drove the truck and left.
Since that happened, I received several messages on my cell phone, threatening me. That she'll take my house, she will shoot me with more mug etc. I didn't response.
But I did file a complaint to Police for the assault she did.
Then her husband [redacted] called me later, that he would like to talk to me. I told him, yes, we can meet without the wife, [redacted]. We arranged to meet at Safeway in Camas. My helper and I drove there waited at Safeway for 25 minutes he didn't show up then we left for our appointment. He called me later that he came there. He also said they gave the job away to another company.
So far there were no more contacts between us. That's my response.
