Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have read the business owner's hostile response and untrue accusations.  I never said my carpet was in poor condition, it is not and it is because we care for it and have it cleaned regularly.   Please see below what I have copied and pasted from the ad on Groupon.  No where does it say chemicals are additional cost.  Trust me, I would never invite Kevin Super and his team into my home as he stated he would never service my home.  At this point I want this as a negative complaint on his Revdex.com record as a resolution- thats all. thank you [redacted] What You'll GetChoose from Four Options[redacted] Carpet cleaning is valid for rooms up to 250 square feet each. About Super Duper Carpet & Duct Cleaning  Super Duper Carpet & Duct Cleaning’s professional crew restores sullied domiciles to pristine states with an arsenal of household cleaning services. To: Revdex.com ID Number [redacted]DATE: 11/7/2016_This is not a complaintWe never actually did a job for this lady. Furthermore we charge extra for chemicals if there are pets in the home or if the carpets are in poor condition like the person said. WE WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS IF WE GAVE PRODUCTS AWAY FOR...

FREE. The groupon is for a normal carpet cleaning and on this phone call the person said the carpets are in poor condition or has pets in the home having accidents. This person was rude and had an attitude about how we were going to charge extra for Pet Deodorizer/Sanitizer and Enzymes. She told me that she doesn't no matter what want to pay for anything else. That is why we ask questions on the phone to clearify any issues before booking an appointment or before sending out a technician to anyones home.P.S. Since she told me the owner Kevin to go xxxx Myself when hanging up on me. Weactually will never EVER do work for this lady. HERES YOUR APOLOGY YOU"LL NEVER BE ABLE TO USE MY COMPANY.Thanks Again, Owner: Kevin [redacted]Super Duper Carpet & Duct Cleaning[redacted]

The owner of the business basically said that he shouldn't have to do anything.  At this point, I would be satisfied if the business owner were to apologize for the horrible way we were treated on the day that the service was supposed to happen.  Human beings in general shouldn't be treated the way he treated us, let alone a business owner.

Super duper carpet cleaning did an awesome job cleaning my entire house! They were on-time and very professional! Kevin answered all of our questions and I would highly recommend super duper carpet cleaning to anyone looking for an awesome steam cleaning experience!

Kevin the owner of Super Duper Cleaning did a great job on our carpets. He also gave us some advice on purchasing carpets, that will last 20 years or better. I have two different types of carpet in my home. The one that I thought was crap cleaned and looked better than the more expensive 1 1/2 year old carpet that I have. I'll quote him "Nylon Carpet" always the best!
He also gave us a very fair price. Thank you for a great job.

Review: I purchased a Groupon from Super Duper Carpet Cleaning in Pittsburgh, PA for 6-room carpet cleaning only good in Allegheny County. Also, the business' own website even has my town listed as an area they service. However, when I called to schedule the appointment, the very rude owner told me he wasn't honoring the Groupon because he wasn't going to "drive 40 minutes to get to my house!" I explained the Groupon states Allegheny county and he proceeded to argue with me about my house actually being in Allegheny county! After that, he said "Well, you better get your money back because that's too far and I'm not accepting that Groupon!" I took a photo of his website which clearly has my town listed. I have never been treated so poorly and talked to in such a disrespectful way by any "businessman." When I told him I wasn't happy with his tone and denying my carpet cleaning, he told me he didn't care because he's booked for the next few months anyway. I'm very disappointed with this owner and how he handled this situation.Desired Settlement: Since Groupon is a reputable company and will most likely refund my Groupon cost. I would like for Super Duper to pay for the difference between the Groupon cost ($105) of a 6-room carpet cleaning and the cost I will now have to pay in order to hire someone else to do the job. I can get quotes, estimates, whatever necessary...

From: Super Duper Carpet & Duct Cleaning

I sincerely apologize for the miscommunication this customer experienced. I did try explaining to her in what I believe was a professional manner that parts of the area where the customer lives is not Allegheny County and this customer borders the county line. Per my agreement with Groupon I only service certain areas when a customer purchases a Groupon in Allegheny County within a certain limit. I suggested she get her money back from Groupon and I do realize this would be somewhat of a hassle for her. Unfortunately, I am not able to get her money back for her. I've spoken with Brian (manager at Groupon) about this in the past and it is their policy she call them for a refund. I also emailed Brian to correct this error on his end. She became quite argumentative and refused to accept no for an answer basically telling me I was coming and doing the job. At that point I did become unprofessional and for that I again apologize.

Before I could explain any further she hung up on me.

Sincerely:

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I see from his response and mapquest directions that he thinks it's too far to drive to my house for carpet cleaning. However, that still doesn't answer the fact this this company's own website lists my town (Bakerstown) as an area serviced. Not to mention the Groupon did not state anything which would lead a buyer to believe their area of Allegheny county was not serviced. I uploaded evidence of both of these things by photo on my original complaint.

Further more, I did contact Groupon about this problem, and they only offered to give me the $105 in Groupon bucks. That does not help me get my carpets cleaned. Now I am out of $105 for what I thought was to be carpet cleaning and have nothing to show for it.

I am not satisfied with this resolution. Again, the minimum I would like is for Super Duper to pay the difference between the $105 I paid for their Groupon ad and the cost it will be for some other company to do the 6 rooms. I can get 3 quotes.

Thanks for your help in this matter.

Regards,

Review: My fiance and I had pre-purchased a carpet cleaning from this business through Living Social for our new home. The home is in clean, nice condition, with the exception of the carpets, as the previous owner had a dog and the carpets showed normal wear/dirt that results from having a pet. When I called to schedule my cleaning, the owner who was on the phone was very rude and stated "I don't have time for this", I explained that I don't need the cleaning immediately and asked when he would be available, and he suddenly said that he could come out the next day. On the day of my cleaning, he walked into our new home, looked at the carpets and said "this is ridiculous. This is disgusting. You people are gross. I'm not cleaning this [redacted] I have $70,000 equipment and I don't want it touching these disgusting carpets". My in-laws, who are older in age, tried to explain that the carpets were only 5 years old and that the seller had provided us with the receipts, to which he raised his voice at them saying "I'm not doing this, you people are gross, I'm out of here, good luck getting your money back" and walked out the door. This all had happened so quickly, so I called him back to try and understand what was going on. Before I could even explain that I just wanted to understand what was happening, he began screaming at me on the phone stating "You people are disgusting. You're just jealous because I make way more money than you poor people. I don't touch disgusting houses like that. I'm the best carpet cleaner in Pittsburgh and I don't have time for gross jobs like yours". This made me pretty upset, as I am a first-time home buyer (and, for the record, our new home was, by no stretch of the imagination , "disgusting"!), so I put my mother on the phone (who was in our house for this whole incident). He then proceeded to tell my mother that she was a crazy person and that he does not talk to crazy people.Desired Settlement: Getting our money back from Living Social was not the main problem. Because we were unable to utilize his service, we contacted another carpet cleaner. The cleaner that was able to do the job the soonest was 1 week out, so we had to rent a machine of our own (although it did not fully clean the carpets, it got them clean enough that we felt comfortable putting our stuff on them until the professional could get out to do it for us). The machine rental with detergent was $40. Once the new carpet cleaning company came out (who, for the record, stated that the carpets really weren't that bad and that they look how most pet-owning carpets look like), it cost $45 more than the original Living Social deal from this company. We were fine with paying this, as it meant that we could finally have the clean carpets we were hoping for. We feel that S[redacted] D[redacted] should refund us the additional $85 that we had to pay as a result of this situation. We feel that this is more than fair, considering not only that he was the reason that we had to incur these charges, but also considering how awful the man treated us as consumers.

Response:

I refused to do the above referenced job because the carpets, in my opinion, needed to be replaced. I reserve the right as a business owner to turn any job down that I feel will not benefit from cleaning due to their condition. They client stated they cleaned the carpets twice: Once themselves and once by a professional. After both of those cleanings, the carpets, according to [redacted] are now in good enough condition for her "to put her stuff on." I do not feel I am responsible for giving her any amount of money based on the fact I chose not to do the work for the reason I stated above. In regards to the words she claimed I used with her I was directly responding to her fiancee calling me, and swearing at me. Also telling me "I'm a joke and Living social is a joke", etc. Her mother also called me twice swearing at me threatening me. I did tell the customer to call living social back to get their money refunded, which they did. At this point, I cannot see how they feel I owe them anything further. Thanks Again, Kevin S[redacted]
