Please accept this letter as a response to the recent complaint for Mr [redacted] Mr [redacted] signed up with Great Expectations (now Cleveland Singles) in November of (not as he stated in his complaint) He selected a year membership which was financed through our finance company ( I will fax over all documents and signed copies by Mr [redacted] ) Mr [redacted] is responsible to make payments of $ Mr [redacted] is requesting to cancel however his financial obligation has not been met Per the contract, we do not give refunds of any kind beyond Ohio's day right to rescission It is understood and agreed that C/S does not grant, and you shall not request, refunds, cancellations or resissions of any kind, except as in the manner set forth in the Ohio Prepaid Entertainment Contracts Act, specific to the Notice of Cancellation on the lower part of this document You acknowledge that C/S has orally informed you of your right to cancel this agreement anytime prior to midnight on the third business day as stated in the Notice of Cancellation below, which you have read and understand.Mr [redacted] is not entitled to a refund and is still obligated to the terms of the contract Mr [redacted] has selected over women thus far and has had "YES" responses We enroll new people all of the time so if M [redacted] has not yet found the "right one", he needs to continue to make selections Our membership provides "opportunities" but does not make guarantees Our contract is very specific in that it states: You acknowledge that C/S’s Membership base constantly changes as new Members join, freeze their Membership (e.gwhen they meet someone) Therefore, C/S makes no representations as to the demographic makeup of its Membership at this or any other time C/S does not guarantee that it’s Membership includes any persons with whom you will wish to meet or enter into a relationship with, or persons who will wish to meet you or enter into a relationship with you.We are happy to assist Mr [redacted] by recommending some nice ladies within the membership whom he might like to meet Cleveland Singles (previoulsy GE) continues to live up to it's end of the agreement, Mr [redacted] is expected to do the same.Sincerly, [redacted]

Please accept this e-mail as a written rsponse to Mr [redacted] 's 2nd complaint: Mr [redacted] was not pushed into signing any contract and we are not required to tell potential members that a lawyer needs to review our contractMr [redacted] was fully aware that we service all of Northeastern Ohio and our members are all within a mile radius Mr [redacted] was never told or promised he would meet someone in Hudson Mr [redacted] was not taken off the website to look up dates Mr [redacted] is still on the website, however if he wanted to access the database from home to make selections and respond to members, it requires an online contract and costs $a month As indicated in the last response, he declined that service which required him to come into the center (we are open days a week) and make selections and responses that way Again, in the previous response, we did offer to provide Mr [redacted] with complimentary online should he wish to take advantage of it Mr [redacted] was told about the day right of rescission when he joined He signed and initialed agreeing he was aware with those terms Mr [redacted] states that he was taking medication when during that time, however that has no bearing on his obligation to the contract He is responsible for the payments for the duration of the membership As stated, we are here to help him in any way possible Cleveland SinglesManagement

Please accept this as a written response to Ms***s complaint Ms*** is behind in her membership payments and was going to be sent to collections She is past due on her account and spoke with our accountant today Ms*** states that due to the event distance, she
unable to participate in the program However the events are simply an amenity This is a video dating service and the emphasis is the database and the selecting and responding of members Cleveland Singles admits no wrong doing, however, in an effort to resolve this dispute we will go ahead and cancel Ms***s contract and she will NOT be responsible for the remaining balance She will not be sent to collections and she will no longer be affiliated with our membership effect today 4/27/ Should you have any questions, feel free to contact me Thank youTracy

Ms. [redacted] paid $350 for the following  "optional" package:  a Photo Upgrade (normally priced at $285) 1 year of unlimited VPOPS (a product offering through e-mail) and also 1 month of Featured Member.  Ms.  [redacted] is correct in that we have been unable to upload her as Featured Member because our video program is being transferred to a new site.  At the time she purchased this product, we were told from our IT department that it would only be down for a few weeks and Featured Member would begin 1 month out. 
Unfortunately, it has been much longer than a few weeks and therefore, we have not been able to provide her with the Featured Member product she purchased.  We asked if she would be willing to accept Member Spotlight instead, as that is e-mailed to all members.  She was not interested. We are absolutely willing to refund the $100 for the Featured Member portion as we take responsibility for the delay in the video upload which is beyond our control at the present time.  Should Ms. [redacted] agree to this, we are willing to process a partial refund for the cost of the product. However, she is still responsible for the remaining $250 of the photo package she  purchased.

Please accept this e-mail as written correspondence to Complaint # [redacted].  Mr. [redacted] joined Cleveland Singles on 11/30/14 and signed up for a 3 year membership at $2695 which was to be financed out through Universal Finance Services LLC.  All contracts and documents were signed and...

initialed agreeing to all terms including the cancellation clause which states there are no refund beyond 3 days.  Please refer to the contract which Mr. [redacted] signed and was in agreement with.  Thus far, Mr. [redacted] has selected 10 women in the program and he has been selected 3 times by our members.  To receive full benefit from the program, Mr. [redacted] needs to use it.  He is able to select 5 women a day 7 days a week.  We are happy to make recommendations of some nice ladies however ultimately, he has to make the decision to select them.  Mr. [redacted] is still responsible for the monthly payments until his membership is paid off.  Mr. [redacted] is not entitled to a refund.  Please reference the contract which Mr. [redacted] signed and dated, specifically the following clauses:You acknowledge that adisproportionate portion of the fee for C/S’s services is earned by the end of the interview since a great deal of time and money is spent recruiting new Members, interviewing and consulting Members (for eligibility, genuineness of purpose, etc.), providing materials to new Members and so on.  Therefore,you agree that most of the Membership fee covers the cost of services provided through today’s date and the rest covers the cost of future services including the use of C/S’s video library.It is understood and agreed that C/S does not grant, and you shall not request, refunds, cancellations or rescission's of any kind, except as in the manner set forth in the Ohio Prepaid Entertainment Contracts Act, specific to the Notice of Cancellation on the lower part of this document.  You acknowledge that C/S has orally informed you of your right to cancel this agreement anytime prior to midnight on the third business day as stated in the Notice of Cancellation below, which you have read and understand.Cleveland Singles has lived up to its end of the contract and it is expected that Mr. [redacted] do the same.  Although he may not feel what he paid was justified, he was provided a discount when he joined and agreed to the purchase price and terms.   Therefore, the contract is binding.  As stated previously, we are happy to assist Mr. [redacted] in any way possible to achieve his goal.  Mr. [redacted] chose NOT to purchase the online service which would allow him access from home 24/7.  The service does require a contract and there is a fee involved.  As a concession, Cleveland Singles would be willing to provide Mr. [redacted] with complimentary online for the duration of his membership, should he be accepting.  Thank you and we will fax over all supporting contract documentation. Cleveland SinglesManagement
