I am rejecting this response because:
The cashier did not know that the price was marked incorrectly, the only reason she brought it to the manager's attention was bc I complainedAs such, they went to check the listed price as thus realized the advertisementLike I previously stated, I did not make the purchase bc they refused to honor their advertised priceI believe others who did not check their receipts or reive their purchase while the cashier scan the product were most likely overchargedThe email from the manager failed to recognize that the error was caught by the customer and not his employee.
If the man who stood there the entire time but took no action was the store manager, he failed to introduce himself or take any action on the matter The two female cashiers and security guard were checking prices and making phone calls. It's disappointing when poor customer service is provided and the store manager was present the entire time but failed to provide quality service. Based on the store manager's response and failure to take ownership of their mistakes both in price advertisement and poor customer service, it confirms my suspicion that they do not care about the level of customer service they provideAdditionally a machine does not make errors in price posting as humans make the input and the system just spits out what is input into it. I stand firm on my request for remedy as previously stated. The store manager's response is not only irresponsible, in my opinion, but a lack of ethics in business practice and failure to take ownership or find solutions to problems. A cashier who noticed a price error would only inform the customer and not take the issue to her bossThe only time, she would need to is to appease the customer and needs the manager's authority for such a determination, thus the store manager's statement is already non-factual

I received your customer complaint letter involving Mr*** ***The complaint was for items purchased on 10-20-for a total amount under $and stated the following: The cashier charged the customer a $fee for his credit card transaction under $and the customer
believes this to be unlawful. The customer believes the dessert item he purchased was expired. After I received your letter dated on 10-23-17, I researched the sales report on that date, interviewed my cashiers, and reviewed all charged receipts & videosUpon my research, I found the following: Our company policy is to charge a $fee for credit card purchases under $This is for grocery stores of our size and we have signs on each cashier lane that informs the customer of this fee. I've attached a picture of the sign that is posted for each lane. In regards to the selling expired packaged dessertsOur company has a log that details the time and description when an item is put out for saleIt is inspected hourly by our prepared foods departmentIn addition, our log is the same one that the health department inspects during their visits It is unfortunate that Mr*** *** is not satisfied with his purchase at Super King Food CenterBecause of this, we are willing to provide a full refund for the items he has purchased and not satisfied with

First of all let me introduce myself, my name *** ***, store manager during that period and I was there when the customer at the cash register on lane no3. It was
on April 23, at 7:48pm.The cashier on lane noknew the price was not right when she scanned bar code item and then she walked to ashed me to make sure. At the same time, I was trying to help customer to make sure the price was right for her. I called to the Stock supervisor right away. He said that Pricing Specialist post in the wrong amount because just updating new system for merchandise pricing program. Last month (April 2014) the company just purchased a new system for Merchandise Pricing/Inventory. Because of this change some items might showing wrong amount due to transferring from old system to a new system. Actually, price for Glutinous rice flour $was right. I am very sorry for this inconvenience to our customer. we learned and try to reduce our mistake as much as we can in order to meet our customer need and satisfy

Review: The store advertised a box of 24 packages of glutinous rice flour for $14.50 and charged $19.00 at the register. They informed me it was a mistake and the price is actually $19.00. I did not purchase the product but would like to make a formal complaint b/c of the poor customer service I recieved when inquiry about the pricing. Additionally, I'm highly concerned that other shoppers may have been tricked into purchasing the product and being charged higher than what was shown on their displayed advertised pricing.Desired Settlement: I would like the store to make whole those whom they overcharged or do something to remedy the situation by making it more equitable, such as honoring their prices when they make a mistake in false advertisement.
