Review: On 12/**/14, I went into Super M&M and purchased what I was told to be cocoa butter in a .15 oz. size; priced at $1.49. I purchased 6. While I was making the purchase, a sales clerk located the regular 1 oz. size and said that it was the last one they had, so I purchased also. Upon returning home, I noticed that the .15 oz. was lip balm and not 100% cocoa butter.

On 12/**/14 about 6:00 p.m., I went to return the lip balms. I stated to the cashier that this was not the correct product and I'd been misled. She said no refunds and I could only get store credit. I looked around the display and asked what it I didn’t want anything else. The cashier said “no refunds only credit. That’s the law.” I then stated that you cannot make me purchase anything if I didn’t want it. The [redacted] was standing to the left of the cashier and reiterated that I had to take the credit. I told him that I would take the matter up in small claims. His reply was “You do that.”

I then took out my camera and took a photo of the counter. The cashier got angry and said “This is private property, you can’t take pictures. The [redacted] came from behind the counter and blocked me from leaving the store. We bumped into a hair spray display by the door. The [redacted] came and locked the door so I could not leave and started waving his hands at me and threatening to hit me and take my camera.

The [redacted] and his clerk called 911 stating that I was destroying their store. I called 911 reporting that I was being held in a store against my will because I wanted my money back and took pictures.

The police arrived and the [redacted] told his side and I told mine. The police reviewed the store’s video and saw that it supported what had taken place. Then the officer stated that the [redacted] was willing to give me store credit. I stated that after the way I was treated, I wanted no part of this store and would not be coming back.

I then went to the [redacted] and filed a complaint.Desired Settlement: A written apology, compensation for harassment and full refund to be given within a reasonable amount of time and a policy change in dealing with customers should be addressed. If business declines settlement, then other options will be considered.
