Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
1.
My yard was not
infested with any type of worms until the day your sod was delivered
2.
If the sod was
treated as you say, it would not be
infested right nowAny treatment should have lasted more than a few weeks
3.
Regarding other
deliveries of sod by your companyIf they don’t have these worms I think that’s
great I would never hope someone else would have them like the sod that was
delivered to my house wasI also noticed that in several pieces that were delivered to my
house there were many rocks (small) round small pebblesThe three pieces that
I bought at your store did not have these small round rocksObviously Super
sods sod has different characteristics; some had rocks some did not, somewhere
thick and healthy and somewhere thin (cut thin) and unhealthy lookingI through
bags of unused pieces away that did not look healthy enough for me to useAt the time I
did not complain because I did not know how severe the problem was or that it
was infested with the wormsAlso the fact that a customer comes in and gets more sod is not a good thing It might mean that they are having a problem
with itWhy does Super sod put rocks in the sod?
4.
I don’t believe
you asked your customer if they had worms in their sodThey may have them but
not know it yetIf they did not check for them they would not knowMy sod does have worms
5.
My original
lawn could have been repaired and would have taken less time than this sodEmerald Zoyzzia
grows very very slow and it will take a lot longer for it to grow over the
all damage than any other grass out there
6.
You clearly
did not say that you suggested a pest company you did say “We did
offer Mr***t a spray company-“Anyone who would read this would feel the possibility
that you offered to pay is there the way it was purposely wordedI read some
of the verbiage in the forums with super sodThis dishonesty did not seem apparent
but the verbiage was from the main company not JacksonvilleIf you don’t
believe your sod had worms when it was delivered I am not calling you a liar however
mistaken; but if you say you did not say you offered me a spray company I would
call you a liar!
7.
We are talking about a lawn that was trashed with
worms within two weeksThe sod came with wormsIt was only just about three
weeks that I bought the sodIt should last more than a couple of weeks without
any type of pesticide or weed treatment according to your own instructions
Pest control companies are reluctant to treat new sod at this short time frame because
they assume it has already been treatedYou are responsible for providing a
stable uninfected sodYou did not! And your distasteful actions regarding your
lies and fallacies make everything much worse!
I can already tell
you that I will replace more of my sod before its over or the whole lawn. You asked me my name when I was in your office now you say you did not
know who I was, until you reviewed the receiptsYou still could credit my
account witch is the correct thing to doWhen I bought my sod from ** years
ago and I came back for a few pieces they gave them to me free and never even
asked me about itI want everyone to know what type of service and product
they are in for Opposite of what I thought it would be from what I read in
lineI expect sod to last more than three weeksI expect not to manage pests that are in the sod when it is deliveredI want a new lawn free of any damage! Its only been three weeks not three years!
If I get one more reply like your last reply that contained such a low amount of truth, I promis this will be over and I will call someone to take your sod awayIn fact you can have it back becouse I promis I will not pay for it if it gets this far
I was impressed when I saw the Super Sod web siteEverything looked so professional and incluusive with instruction videosYou sell the fertalizer to stimulate the rootsEverything seems so goodNo where did I see a warning about worms or a sugestion to treat the sod the first day I got itNowere in the instructions does it say I should treat the sod with anything other than what I didThree weeks is a very short period of time and I paid for a new lawn not a damaged lawn that I will need to nurse back to healthThis is not fair and tot good buisness! The lies are the icing on the cake and they don't seem consistant with Super Sod's way of busness practiceses accordfing to the forums I have seenI am very disapointed
My neighbor wanted to buy the same lawn but at this time I would not recomend it becouse his new lawn would be infected with mine even if it did not contain the worms on deliveryI feel the sod should be resestent to these worms or you should have warned me! I am inclined to think that If I contact the owner or CEO of super sod they would not treat me this way!

Army worms are hatching all over Florida this time of year.  We have reports from Pest control companies in Jacksonville reporting Army worms, Sod web worms and Chinch bugs as early as last...

month.  These pests fly and lay eggs in trees, fences, concrete, walls, shrubs and almost any place they can attach too.  This is a very fast paced and viscous circle of pests.

Our farms treat our sod with pesticides on a strict regimen. We have farm records indicating this. I did contact another customer who also got Emerald Zoysia as Mr. [redacted] and has no issues with their sod .   The customer actually got one more pallet yesterday 06-26-2014.

Our sod is inspected at our office weekly by the Florida Department of Agriculture.  Our sod passes inspection each and every time.

These pest eat the foliage not the roots.  This sod can be repaired.  These pest can infest yard after yard.  These pest fly and will land in a yard, lay eggs,  and they will hatch within days and eat foliage.  These pests do not know property lines or boundaries.  You can treat your yard and the neighbor not and get them over and over.  This is a damage that needs to be treated ASAP.  It may take up to 5 or more treatments to kill the cycle.  It may have to be done every 7-10 days.

We did suggested a reputable Pest Control company to Mr. [redacted] who will back up our claims.  Customers are responsible for their sod once received.  They must maintain their own sod.  Sod is perishable and delivered fresh daily.   Mr. [redacted]'s sod was ordered special for his day of delivery.

When treating pests, everything possible in your yard should be treated for pest nests .  Even if a customer treats their yard and your neighbors don't,  you will get them again.  This is a cycle that must be controlled constantly this time of year.

This time of year pest treatment is very important.  This is with any type of sod received.   Mr. [redacted]'s  sod should recover if it is treated on time.  If left untreated, at this point, each day more damage is done to the sod.  But, please remember, this must be treated ASAP.

We have discussed the issue with Mr. [redacted] and referred him to a pest company for help.  We do not guarantee suitability, survival or performance of sod and make no other or further warranties expressed or implied.   This is stated on our receipts at each delivery and was signed at the delivery of Mr. [redacted]'s sod.

Sincerely,
M[redacted]
