Took my SUV to Gerber after being involved in an accident and being referred by my insurance company. Repair took approximately two weeks. Shortly after vehicle was returned to my possession, I noticed the car pulling to the right. Took the vehicle to my local [redacted] for an alignment and was informed by the tech that an alignment could not be performed because upon inspection it appears there is some type of damage to the front suspension but the parts are not worn and there is no visible impact. I explained that my car was in an accident and recently repaired. The tech believed that there may have been an oversight during the repair and something was still damaged. He recommended that I return to Gerber and explain the issue. I called my insurance company and explained the situation. I was informed by the representative to take my vehicle back to Gerber and let them know what was going on. Gerber would reinspect the vehicle and add the damage to the original claim. When I took my car to Gerber and advised the manager and estimator of the problem and my conversation with the insurance company, I was immediately met with defensiveness and lack of accountability. I was informed that the insurance company would need to call Gerber and speak with them before they would even look at the car. When I asked for an estimate on how long diagnosis would take, I was told four days. I went home and contacted my insurance company yet again and was put in touch with someone who specifically handles problems after claimschool have been closed. She gave my the same information as the first representative but said she would also call Gerber and let them know the procedure. The lady promptly hung up with me and contacted Gerber and she was given the run round also. After five ally convincing Gerber to look at my car I was given an appointment for two weeks later, still will no definitive answer on how long it would take to diagnose. My insurance representative called my back and informed me that I did have the right to take my car to another facility for diagnosis if I felt I wasn't being treated well and that is what I chose to do. The new autonomy shop diagnosed my car withing 3 hours and had it repaired the next day. Gerber missed a bent strut on the original repair and because of their complete lack of accountability and refusal to be cooperative my care was driven for 6 weeks out of alignment and it has caused unremarkable wear and damage to my tires.

During one of the recent snow storms, our car was damaged on the right side from an impact with the curb. We filed a claim and chose Gerber for the repairs, mainly because it was close and [redacted] recommended them on the list they provided. The tow truck arrived on the 19th of December and was taken to the shop. Everything seemed fine until a week passed, then 2, then 3 and the work still hadn't been completed. We called every single week and every time we were told that the car was 'out' at some other shop, so apparently they don't do any of their own work at the shop, it is all outsourced to other shops. On Tuesday Jan. 10th, they called me to tell me that the car work was complete and they would do a quick detail and that I could come and pick it up on Wednesday. I waited on Wednesday for a phone call to tell me when to come and pick it up, no call ever came. At 3pm I called them to find out what was going on and was given some excuse about the rims needing to be refurbished and it wouldn't be ready until next week. My wife called back and was given a totally different story that the car work was finished but they were waiting on a tire. My wife told them that the 'bubble' that was in the tire was there before the accident so just put it back on and let us come and get it. The man told her he would put it back on and we could come and pick it up on Thursday. As I'm writing this, the shop just called my wife and informed her that we can come pick it up and our portion would be $389. Let me explain why this seems shady. The original estimate was over $2400 with our deductible being $500. If all the work was actually done like the radiator housing, the cradle arm and the 2 rims being refurbished, it should still be more than our deductible cost. So they are essentially saying that only $389 worth of work was done?
Stay away from this place at all cost. You've been warned. And how can they possibly still have an A- rating with 24 complaints on file? Don't believe the reviews here? Go to [redacted] look up the company name and then read the reviews.

I was driving on my way to get a tire repaired when I was told about a screw in the tire. The screw flew out while I was driving and I immediately got a flat. Thinking that I would get some help at an auto shop, I stopped and asked for some assistance. I would have great difficulty changing it myself because of being in a walking boot. They declined my need for help stating that their mechanic was not in and they would have to write a work order. I IUST WANTED MY SPARE PUT ON. Pitiful customer service. Never in my life would I have thought this would happen at a place like this. Will never recommend them
