I hired Copper State Home Builders after a roof leak cause flood damage in my Master bathroom A Nice gentleman came out by the name of Kyle Who assessed the damage, and said they could demo the next day They came back and demo’d my master bath, and took pictures of all damages for the insurance company I was so impressed by how great Kyle was I asked him about other work I needed done at my house, if they would be able to do it as well, and I would pay them beyond the insurance payment Kyle said they would do it and give me a fair rate for the addition work I was excited to have company able to take care of all the issues from the flood as well as the other modifications I needed done A week pasted and I still had not heard from the reconstruction project managerSo I called in they said I would hear from them after they filed paper work for the roof and reconstruction of the master bath to my insurance Then another week passed, they were still processing Then weeks passed They sent out a guy that was supposed to be a project manager to walk me through the rebuild and discuss my options They sent out a guy that didn’t speak any English, and the only thing he could say was “I take pictures.” Again I didn’t hear anything for a weekAt this point I was done, my bathroom was down to studs, and I was paying to air condition my attic Beau called me apologized for the issues and said they would send their best project manager to earn my business and he would discuss the project with me He went on to say that I would be highly impressed with this gentleman as I was with Kyle They sent him out and while he did speak English and was very nice There was no discussion as to what they would be doing, or bathroom color we had picked out No discussion of the additional work that I needed done But (I don’t remember the guys name) he said we need to get the roof estimate in first and repair the roof before we could do anything in the bathroom This guy made sense and was approaching the situation in my mind correctly So, I figured we could always discuss the specifics of what I wanted done after the roof was done Then another week passed, so I called in and asked if they need to send someone out to assess the roof, they said ‘no we have all we need with the pictures we already took.’ I was watching my insurance and nothing was file with them I called the office and they said they would be filing it by the end of day I waited another week still nothing I received an email from Beau saying their roofing company was too busy to help and that he didn’t have any other companies available He also stated that there was a lot of information missing from the estimate, and that Copper State didn’t have the correct software to do the estimate It was up to me to find a roofer then they would come do the bathroom Hold up?!? How did we go from we have everything we need, to, it’s up to you? So, I reply to him with that Beau rudely tells me they are not a roofing company If this is/was true then why did you represent your company as one that could do all aspects of the job? The whole time they wanted all money sent to me by my insurance I am guessing with the poor service they provide that it would be to hold me into dealing with them After roughly months of my master bath being un-useable, I started reconstruction not through Copper State I told Beau that the roof was completed and my bathroom was almost done That I would send them the extremely over priced demo check and that we would be done Beau had the audacity to tell me I was supposed to tell them when the roof was done so they could do the part of the job they wanted Are you serious? I was supposed to contact you How about I am a paying customer, pick up the phone and call me once in while You had months to earn the work You chose to give me the run around You chose to misrepresent your company This is the worst company I have ever dealt with for home repairsTheir customer service is horrible and they are grossly overpriced Be smart, find another company, having damage to your home is stressful enough, you don’t need to hire a company that you have to jump through hoops; so, you can pay them for their overpriced inferior services
---I did do some reason on them, checked reviews online and they seem to be well rated Now that I have dealt with them, I am noticing that some of their star ratings are coming from people with the same names as some of their employees A bit interesting I do not know that they are actual employees but I can tell you some of their names match with employees I have dealt with

I would not recommend this company I did not have a positive experience I think they were not to take "every" penny of the money the insurance company was paying without doing the actual service I was billed for things that were not done or left uncompletedThey were excellent when they first came out and were quite the "smooth talkers" but did not perform as I was toldI would NEVER recommend this company to anyone Please use extreme caution if you deal with these people

Please read reviews before selecting this companyFor the past three weeks, I have dealt with this company to fix a kitchen leak and sink repairThe first two days, they talked a good game stating what they will do, when they will get it done, and how they are professional and client-centeredWrongThey have done nothing but give me the run around, provide pseudo promises, do not return calls, state management will take care of the issues, request paperwork, and had the nerve to request payment for a job they never completedThey are unprofessional, unethical, and are not client, customer, or service orientedThey tell you what you need to hear to keep you quiet to get you through another dayI've called their offices five times in one week; emailed them three times within another week, and texted representatives more than times within another week and there has been no response to any of my requestsHow does one operate a business and behave and respond in an unprofessional manner? When I advised Copper State I would write a YELP review, make a social media blast about their unprofessional conduct, and seek an attorney, they did not seem phased as if this "BUSINESS as usual" for themDo NOT use this companySelect another company who values the customer, your experience, your dollar, and who strives to be customer-centered

The plumber who fixed a pipe leak in our garage recommended Copper State because of possible moisture in the wall behind the leak He called the company for us and they came right out, assessed the damage, contacted our insurance company and began the drying process that day After reading the negative reviews on the Revdex.com site I was worried about working with them, but proceeded because they had already started the work We were totally pleased with our experience with them They were prompt, courteous, and professional After the initial drying, they sent the repairman to fix the drywall and baseboard damage and re-paint the area He was also great to work with We have no complaints and would recommend them to others

Chris hand his team did an excellent job on our renovation We were under time pressure with a baby coming and they came in on time and within budget The quality of work was excellent I've dealt with many general contractors and at the end of the day, you need to be able to trust the person you're working with He was always upfront and honest about what was going on Will most certainly do more business with him

My rental property had a tub pipe broken inside drywall and master bedroom closet had moldI called ASAP Plumbing to fix itPlumber said the drywall might contain asbestos material and needed home builder to open the drywall firstSo plumber recommended Copper State Home Builders right on site via phone conversationBecause it was urgent issue that tenants could not stay in the house anymore, I agreed immediately on the phone and had no chance to look at any info regarding Copper State Home BuildersAbout hr later, the owner of Copper State Home Builders arrivedHe said they would start the dryout and abatement work immediatelyIn the evening they delivered dryout equipment and I signed the authorization paper work and emailed to their officeI was wondering when they would start and finish soon because tenants had to stay in hotel for a whileJames from Copper State Home Builders texted me "Ask for Eric"Next day in the morning I called Eric and told my name and property address and asked when it would startHe was very very rudely replying "I don't who you are", so conversation stoppedA guy from Copper State Home Builders emailed me to start asbestos testAbout a couple days later, a verbal result came out: positiveSo the information followed was to remove the drywall material firstSince then I could NOT communicate with Copper State Home Builders any moreNo matter how many times I emailed them, called their office, even texted the owner directly, they didn't express anything regarding the drywall removalEspecially since they dropped the dryout equipment, they NERVER turned the equipment on! About days later, it WAS my tenant called Copper State Home Builders to pick up their equipment for doing nothing inside the houseI and tenants were frustrated and waiting for about weeksI finally realized that for some reason they quitted! Eventually I decided to get another home builder company to do the restoration work as soon as possible because my tenants were suffering a lot during the difficult period of timeAnother home builder company responded very quickly and started work immediatelyAfter all the work of plumbing and restoring drywall in bath and closet being done WITHOUT Copper State Home Builders, it was ONE AND HALF MONTH later, all of sudden Eric from Copper State Home Builders emailed me invoice for payment! Three people from Copper State Home Builders keepped email me for payment! The owner left message on my phone and threatened putting a mechanics lien on my property so I couldn't sell it in the futureJames from Copper State Home Builders texted me on Mar 17th "We have filed a Mechanics lien on your property as well as being placed into collections. We will be contacting your renter as well to inform them of the situation"On the invoice they sent me, the date of broken pipe damage and work they claimed finishing WAS COMPLETELY WRONG!!! It was AFTER another home builder company finished the workI do hope Revdex.com review will help stop this kind of business behavior: rude, dishonest and hostile !

Terrible companyMale a lot of promises they don't keepTheir sub contractor did below average work and was not licensedAlmost everything they did had to be redone sometimes several timesThey promised to be done in two monthsIt has been eleven months and still not completedThey just quitIf you try to talk to the owner Clint he just gets mad and rants and ravesHe would have you believe he is doing you a favor by redoing all their poor work

this company is a complete rip off they do not deliver any of what the insurance company says that they should be delivering I will never use them or recommend them to anyone They did such minimal work to get by but they did NOTHING that the insurance claim said that they should, additionally they told me they waved Mitigation but when the insurance would not pay to replace their version of "cracked tiles" Only they were not cracked only loss, They are now coming after me for mitigation Total ripe off company

A month after I bought my home me shower was leakingthe plumber call this business to come and give me an estimatethey stated that there was no shower pan and several other things were donethey called and started a claim with my home ownersthe home owners guy came out and stated it was only the grout that was not done rightthey hooked up a blower to put down the drainI unplugged it the next day after my homeowners came out and stated that copper state were crookedthe machine sat by my front door after several calls to them to pick it upabout a month later they picked it up and I received a bill for $ they then placed a lien on my propertyThese people are crooked and I would never recommend them everso please be aware of their scams

we hired this builder to fix our second story bath roomwe have paid $dollarsthe work supposed to be doen long time ago, it is never done and they never come backit;'s been more than months alreadyDuring the construction time, they have damaged my walls, showers and bathtubthey promised to comeback fix all the damage and finished the leaking issue, but never seen they to come back

We were referred to CopperState by ** *** when the sewer line under the house colapsed flooding the houseWe had problems with CopperState from the beginningThey came on Thurs(the day of the loss)but didn't turn on the fans until SundayOur things were getting damaged as they piled them in top of each otherThen one day our tool drawer was emptyWe notified several different peopleThen our painting supplies "disappeared"Finally our things were packed up in a POD and movedAll our things were damagedCopperState hired all these subcontractors but refuses to take responsibility for their actionsAlso every time someone would come in to fix something they would damage or other things(ie doors, walls etc)My kitchen curtain was found in the recycling binThe owner Clint called and told me to remove my bad rating on his web site (there were others) or he would sue me for business lostTheir lawyer also made threatening calls to usThen there were a bunch of 5* reviews on his siteTheir names were some of their employees we worked with (ie Jamie Lee S,Jeremy S*** and Steven S***) Things are still missing, broken or unfinished

Phone solicitation is aggressive and rude

Dishonest and Unethical a representative from Copper State Home Builders wase contacted by a plumber that was at our residence to replace a water heater (valve above water heater starting to leak) From the moment the representative arrived, until their crew removed their equipment, the organization acted ONLY in their best interest For a clean water leak that lasted all of two (2) hours, they spent five (5) days causing additional damage just so they could submit a larger insurance claim They unnecessarily damaged walls, baseboards, door trim and flooring, with the expectation that they would be completing the restoration and receive payment to 'fix' all of the damage that they caused We are still considering options with our insurance company because I don't believe the company acted ethically, and our insurance company should have to pay out thousands of dollars for a (maybe) $job I cannot issue a strong enough warning for others that find themselves in a similar situation We now have to live with the damage they caused until we can find an individual or company to work with on the restoration What a nightmare for a very small water leak

At first we loved dealing with Copperstate, though I was happy that my insurance was taking care of the bill as I know home construction and their pricing was out of this world, way, way too muchTheir workers seemed very organized and they were hard working and niceThe office staff seemed nice tooWe dealt with Monyque, the Project Manager that was assigned to our caseWhen it came time to pay the bill however that was a different storyThey had told us that they would take care of our deductible, this was repeated by the guys who came to do the work, so when we received the bill the deductible was still on the bill and had not been taken care of.We let them know that we would like a new invoice and my assistant was told specifically on October 30th we would receive an invoice that reflected the amount with deductible They did not send the proper invoice until November We had let them know that I would be traveling overseas and I was in conferences and so because of travel and time differences with their office hours and mine, that the payment to them may take a few daysWhen we received the proper invoice it was November Along with this invoice was the threat of a lein and that if I didn't pay the invoice by November 13th that they would put a lien on my houseNow that I had the proper invoice, my assistant called in to pay itOnce I did that, I saw that the amount that my card was charged for was $more than the invoiceWhen my Assistant called in to ask about this, we were told that there was no mistake and it was for a mechanics leinThey insisted that I received the check from the insurance company and cashed it on October and that I should have paid themI have proof that the payment to me was not cashed until Oct and additionally, I did not get a proper invoice until November We called to talk to Monyque who dealt with this payment and she said it was protocol for this fee to be added but when my assistant asked what exactly the protocol is and how many days it specificies she was never given an answer My assistant also spoke with the owner and he said there was nothing they could do about it as he would have done it sooner if he had known all the "facts" and that it is the protocol that no one could break downI warn you that these guys are crooked and to not deal with them
