Luke came over to quote a deck repairWe had several boards that were warping and splitting He convinced us we should replace our decking and that he would do so for $*** That included approximately $*** for materials (composite decking) and the rest labor We signed his basic contract agreeing to that amount We paid him half to get startedHe began work, and it was clear he was not qualified to complete the project Cuts on the decking were not straight, the steps were not built to code - none of the rises were the same One was inches, one was and one was (it was steps) He installed the decking crooked He ripped out one of our screens on our screened in porch We asked him to stop work and told him this was not going to work for us He took the decking back and refused to pay us any money back We are now out $*** and had to hire someone else to rip out his work and start over He also left all the old decking in piles on our yard for us to deal with
Required 50% deposit for a small moving/handyman job Showed up minutes late, and marked the carpet moving a desk He worked for minutes, moved item and disappeared going out to his car When he didn't return, I called him about finishing the job, and he told me he had to pick up a kid from school He never returned to the job, never called, cashed the check and left us hanging on the last day we needed to be out of our old office

Following that initial conversation, Luke also had offered to get us a concrete bid for replacing our existing garage and 90' drivewayHe contacted a concrete company (Decorative Concrete - who did give us a bid)We did
We contracted with Luke and paid in full for the quoteAfter a week he still had not showed up, or could even give us a definite day to perform the serviceAfter waiting and waiting we hired another service and asked to be refundedNo response and no refund
