I am rejecting this response because:
I am the consumer! Why should we have to pay for any of this?? *** must have an eye problem!! I have multiple, multiple picture of all the missing concrete and cracks in our driveway dating back to one month after it was laid. They are visible to the eye. Neighbors are commenting about the cracks. The cracks and chunks of concrete missing are not from the so called winter from two years ago. It was a mild winter when the concrete was put down. *** also wanted us to pay for the repair. He said nothing about Superior helping with this. ALL the information we are getting back from Superior is not making any sense? If *** and Superior are talking about this it is news to us. I just called Ted from *** *** and he told me he has had NO contact with Mike from Superior concerning this problem, that was two weeks ago. I have reached out to the Attorney of Consumer Affairs concerning all this. They have been in touch with MrD*** with no response as of yet? ** *** and myself would like this situation taken care of also, and brought to a conclusion finally. But if MrD*** and Ted cannot come to some kind of agreement that we the consumer do not have to pay for the repairs, then this may end up in small claims court. They really can't pay between the two of them? We do not understand?? Again, MrD*** and *** can come to our house and we will again show them the mess on the drive way. *** has not shown up at our house visibly, he says he has been here but we have not seen him?? I have pictures of the driveway if you would like me to submit them to you, I would be happy to do so. MrD*** lives accross the street from us practically. He is more than welcome to come and sit down with us to discuss the situation. As you can see we are welcome to ideas, but not at our cost. We have already paid for the driveway.

I am rejecting this response because: MrD*** was aware that I was not getting the bottom steps doneHe stated he would fix the landing to match up with the bottom steps, that he would do a degree angle type slope that would match with the steps and not pose a tripping hazard He told my wife he would be back to fix and make it right There is such a sharp cutoff on the landing that multiple people have tripped over this many times I would like this repaired and it would be just a matter of fixing it with some cement to make it no longer a tripping hazardI understand about the slope of the landing, but MrD*** was aware of this and said it would be no problem to fix it and make it match the height of the bottom steps

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
There was no offer instead they replied saying that the stains may have been created by me using chemicals and power washingThere were no chemicals and the power washing is done every year (in the spring) after the removal of the safety coverThey also commented that I was referred to him by a pool company that had been maintaining my pool for yearsI've only lived at this house for and just engaged the pool company in to replace my linerAnd then there is the 20% of the surface comment which I'm not sure how that was calculated but in my opinion it is most of the surfaceI'm not sure what can be done but can say I'm very disappointedI should have just left the pool as is with the old cement that was thereIt definitely looked better before

I am rejecting this response because: Superior Concrete did not fix the problem right away, he just fixed the LARGE MULTIPLE cracks in April of 2014!!! We informed him of these just a few weeks after the concrete was laid There are numerous other cracks in this drive way and sidewalk!! He has been shown this multiple times!!! As far as laying the concrete while it was cold, it did not fall to degrees the night before!! How would we know that?? It was in fact one of the warmest days of the winter when it was laid. If MrD*** was aware of the problem that could occur, he as a business owner should have said no to doing the work and tell us what could Have happened!! There are multiple falses in his statement!! One of them being his attentiveness to this problem! After he came and did a patch job in APRIL of 2014, he said he would come back in a few weeks to see how it looked?? He did not! We had to call him about months later and report that were he fixed is now cracking again. We even had one of his workers, who helped lay the driveway, who lived three doors down look at the concrete after it was laid, He said he would contact MrD*** since he was not returning our calls!! There are so many problems with this concrete that all occured last year and are still occuring!! We have contacted MrD*** numerous, numerous times!! He also has not responed to our request to have a receipt for this work he has done months ago!! I asked for a receipt after the work was done and he never gave us one?? WHY? I have multiple pictures of all the cracks and missing concrete from where it is falling apart. It is NOT all from the "horrible winter" we had!!! It all started right after the concrete was laid, and if you remember right we had a mild winter! As far as the concrete company, I left MrD*** a message regarding this mans response: he wants us to pay 200, 250.00 for the repairs???? He was very rude in telling me that "I want my driveway to look pretty", of course I do, I paid and it fell apart. Each company is blaming each other for the damages, and we are in the middle!!! I have not heard bak from either company for over a week, I do not know what their next step is?? This is extremely unprofessional! I know from experience that if this were my company I would have shown more responsibility in helping the consumer if they were not happy. MrD*** informed my husband that he would like to rip up the drive way and re do it. He said the concrete company does not want to pay there portion of the job, so again, we are in the middle!! They need to do the right thing and make the customer happy!! We also informed MrD*** that we always admired his work, and could not wait to have him do our driveway and sidewalk. We never , ever expected him to not stand by his work. Very disappointing coming from a neighbor! Sad! This is not resolved at all until one of these two companies gets this resolved

July 27, 2014To whom it may concern,This is in reference to ID # ***In February the ***'s contacted me to give them an estimate for their drivewayThey previously had plumbing work doneI stressed to *** *** that it was too cold to pour concreteIt fell to
degrees the night beforeShe said she was tired of the mud and just do the jobThe neighbors were complaining about dirt in the streetI poured the driveway and the ***'s were very happy with the job.*** *** contacted me a few months later about a couple of cracks on the edge of the drivewayI told her that I could patch the driveway but could not promise that it would match the original concreteAfter | patched the driveway she complained that it did not matchPatch is inches at the edge of drivewayI've responded to all of these calls, she lives down the Street from my home and I have Walked down numerous times to talk to ***.At this point it has been months after the job was done with a record breaking snow fall in The ***'s now has some spaulding on sidewalk blocks and apronI explained to her that the salt from the Streets Department caused her concrete to deteriorate from the many snow storms we hadThe Salt gets into the tire treads or gets push onto the sidewalks from the plowsIf the salt is not washed away it will cause spaulding on the surface of the concrete.I just want to point out that I told *** *** it wasn't a good time to do the drivewayOn March 14, the day after the driveway was done the temperature dropped to degrees and we had a snowfallThis is not good weather for concrete to setcontacted *** *** to evaluate the ***'s drivewayOnce *** *** notifies me ! will contact the ***'s.Sincerely,Michael D

September 24, 2014To whom it may concern,
This is in response to the job we did for [redacted]. Superior Concrete gave [redacted] an estimate for a rear patio not in anytime did we say to [redacted] we would build him a deck or patio enclosure. This job was done 8 years ago...

and I never heard from [redacted]. His statement is incorrect, I never received multiple phone Calls nor have l visited him and put a level on his patio. If he has something in writing please have him contact us. Thank you for your time.Sincerely,Michael D

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. Thankfully we were able to mail in the blade to [redacted] and they replaced it with the blade we needed.

Please find copy of signed proposal which clearly states what we warranty. We warranty our work against spalling only. No reputable contractor can guarantee concrete against cracking, uneven curing, crazing or discoloration. Spalling is the only thing controllable by a mason. Concrete is a durable...

material that unfortunately is sensitive to sun, wind, humidity or lack of, during the curing process. It will also cure differently in the sun than it does in the shade. It also is susceptible to staining from trees, fertilizer or other debris during and after the curing process. His complaint about discoloration from the safety cover is frivolous since every pool with a safety cover has discoloration that outlines the perimeter ofthe cover. If s called dirt. As far as my credentials I have done in excess of 2000 pools in the last 15 years and am the sole mason contractor of the largest pool installer in the northeast. I was referred to [redacted] by the person who has maintained his pool for over 20 years who I have also done extensive work for. I responded to [redacted] concerns within 2 days. His issues are cosmetic not structural. The finish on his pool is beautiful. The discoloration that is on approximately 20% of his pool could very well have been caused by him do to his use of chemicals and power washing. I have over 2 thousand satisfied customers yet [redacted] is the first and only complaint received by the BBS.Enclosed also find copy of instructions with proper care and expectations that every customer receives.Sincerely1 [redacted]

To whom it may concern:My name is [redacted], the store manager. This incident happened on May 25,2017 between 7:40pm to 8;pm. He had bought the clipper blade earlier, we showed him the blade case where all the blades are stored. He chose the blade that he bought. When he came back at closing time, he...

wanted to get REFUND. He walked in already loud saying, "my man", I need a refund because it doesn't fit my clipper, that other guy refund it before." I know idea what he's talking about, as he kept saying, I didn't use it, it's still new. First of all, we carry the older model blades, he didn't want to hear that. second. We showed him the store policy that's hanging above the register. He didn't want to hear that, I was checking the blade to see if it was in the new condition but hair cuts kept dropping out of the blade, so I couldn't exchange or give store credit. That's when he got louder and he started using vile and race slurs in front of the customers because he couldn't get it his way, that's when the hair and wig managers decided calling the police was the right thing to arrive he kept debating with the wig manager to get her saying the wrong thing, but she walked away to the back and came back to the register, then he started to harass her again so she told him to wait for the police. The police arrived and the wig manager explained what had happened, he kept interupting as she was explaining. After hearing, the police took him outside and said something and had him going on his way. He was still complained that he can't get refund that he just have to lose his money and drove away. We would have REFUND it but it had hair cuts dropping out of the blade. That brings issue to the hygiene law, Beauty4U tries best to be fair to all the customers without discretion but he abused his privilege. Beauty4U should not tolerate this type of behavior.

Review: Superior Concrete put in our driveway this Spring. The cuts in our driveway involved excessive chipping. Our driveway also appears to be striped due to poor application of a concrete sealant. After repeated attempts to speak to the contractor I have received no response. The job was poorly done, as were others he did in the neighborhood. The lack of response from the contractor after the repeated attempts is the most upsetting. Any company run this poorly, and with the lack if respect that is shown towards his customers, Superior Concrete, does not deserve business.Desired Settlement: With the unprofessional customer service and the poor product that was installed I would like to be refunded the cost of my driveway.

Review: Superior Concrete poured a drive way for me at the address of my [redacted] on July 26, 2014. The very next morning (neighbors can testify to crack taking place by the next morning)two of the concrete pads that were poured cracked the full width of the two pads. (Please note we did not drive any vehicles on the newly poured driveway for 10 days as instructed & neighbors can testify to this fact. Superior Concrete & the cement company looked at the cracked drive way and the concrete company representative said it the crack was the result of where Superior Concrete workers had placed the "cut" in the driveway & therepresentative of Superior Concrete agreed. He told us to wait 30 days for cement to properly dry so they could then drive a truck on the concrete without causing futher damaged... I agreed. 30 days past & I called and at first he kept delaying the job asking for one more week due to being busy, I agreed, but this when on for all of August. Then Superior would not return my phone walls. I then filed a complaint with the Mahoning County Dispute agency, after numerous attempts they finally talked to [redacted] from Superior from Superior.he said now I would have to wait till next year because of the temperature. This statement is not true, I even went to a few contractors and asked them if them if this statement about the weather being to cold was true, they all said they can pour concrete the entire winter by using an additive (calcium).Desired Settlement: Simply repair the two cracked pads.... they can even cut the pads into a smaller size and not have to pour as much concrete.... that would be ok... but the existing cracks will lead to further damage as freezing rain etc. get in the cracks.

Review: We had superior concrete complete a driveway and stamped patio. We paid him $[redacted] total for both jobs. He began the job the week of April 21 and seemed to complete the job on April 27. However, at that time we were unhappy because the stamped patio was two different colors, which is not correct. We contacted [redacted] with Superior Concrete immediately and he informed is that it needed time to dry. Further, downspouting and siding on our house was damaged by his workers. We were informed that both the siding and downspouting would be corrected. After four weeks, we requested that [redacted] return to look at patio since it still remained two different colors and to also look at siding and downspouting. [redacted] informed us at that time that he will correct all issues. We continued to contact him on a weekly basis with no avail. He then informed both myself and my husband that he needed two dry days to correct patio. Please note that there had been plenty of dry days within this time frame. Finally, on June 26 [redacted] came out to fix the patio. It did not rain from Thursday, June 26 through Saturday, June 28. However, since he began the job on Thursday and decided to not return to put a final sealer on it until late Saturday evening around 6:30 pm, it rained Sunday morning and the patio once again is two different colors. Parts of the patio have no color. [redacted] was contacted and informed us that we " rushed" him. It has been 3 months and he has been paid $[redacted] for the patio. We have not been able to use the patio.Further, the downspouting has never been fixed and he had a guy come and fix the siding, however, the siding is a completely different siding with both texture and color. [redacted] has been given the company information for the siding. We are upset because Superior concrete will not rectify these issues. I have had other companies come out and inform us that they can fix but we would need to pay them out of pocket. We need the patio fixed and siding and downspouting.Desired Settlement: We would like the patio fixed to the correct color acrossed it.We would like the downspouting replaced. We would like the siding that they put holes in replaced with the correct siding to match our house. If the company is unable to fix the above problems correctly, we can hire other companies and have him pay for services.
