Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/04) */
We are sorry you are displeased with our service. We did put a gloss on the table and did not rub it out. Unfortunately, the wavy aspect of the top is inherent to the piece itself. It was not caused by us.
As per the floor damage, we had a...

few floor companies come out and estimate the damage, but the lead time schedule was for more then a month out. As per Mr. [redacted] he decided to get his own company and we agreed upon authorization of estimate we [redacted] pay for the service which we did. After service on floor was completed we mailed the check for the refund of it.
After the service was completed with him he wanted to do new business with us for more pieces, we refused to do any more service due to the incidents on previous order.
After Superior's decision Mr. [redacted] decides to put claims on us upon Superior refusing to do any more service for him.
Thank you

Respectfully,
[redacted]
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/06/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Mr. [redacted] again misstates the facts. I did not ask him to do additional work. I invited him to submit an estimate for work while delivering to me a check.
The email from 30 April 2015 states:
"The repair is complete and the balance is now due (see attached invoice) so please forward the reimbursement of $765 payable to me as soon as possible. Also, I have another sofa that needs to be restuffed, so if you'd like to take a look at that and give me an estimate, you could just bring the check along at that time."
Although Superior seems capable of doing upholstery work of good quality, they exhibited gross incompetence in refinishing casegoods, and I would never again pay them to work on casegoods or any wooden item.
He claims to have sent "a few floor companies" but this is false. He did not send multiple flooring companies. He sent exactly two people, only one of which was a flooring contractor. The first told me he was not a flooring contractor, but did touch-ups and refinishing to furniture that had been damaged. He said repairing a floor like mine was completely outside his abilities.
The second person Superior sent did represent himself to be a flooring contractor, but would not identify the company he was with, and would only provide his first name and cell-phone number. When a couple of weeks passed [redacted] his visit to inspect the floor and I heard nothing, I called him, and he said he provided an estimate to Superior, but they had never followed up with him to schedule the work.
I contacted Superior, repeatedly, to get them to follow through and schedule a flooring contractor. Superior never arranged for a flooring contractor to do the work, and never scheduled one. I did not want to get my own contractor. I asked Superior repeatedly to do it. They said they would do it, but they never did. I finally had to do it myself because Superior failed to fulfill their commitment. I repeatedly entreated Mr. [redacted] to arrange for a flooring contractor to do the work, and he utterly failed to do this. For him to represent otherwise is outrageous.
As to his claim that they put a gloss finish on the table, this is just a tired rehash of his earlier email to me. The flattening agents in the finish are clearly visible. The finish is cloudy and foggy, because it is not a proper gloss finish, properly applied.
How does Mr. [redacted] account for refinishing the table the second time? Does he claim that they stripped entirely the first satin finish they applied to the table, and refinished it from scratch? Then why are the flattening agents still present? Perhaps he wants to claim he did it right the first time, and never had to re-do the finish. Up until this point, nothing that he has said has been consistent with the facts. Further, regardless of the finish, the table is severely damaged by the waviness that Superior introduced.
His claim that the wavy top is inherent and not caused by Superior is not only contrary to fact but it is disgraceful. Mr. [redacted] came to my home to give me an estimate on work, and saw the table before it was worked on by his company. He knows the table was not wavy at that time. Yet he now claims it's an inherent part of the table, because to do otherwise would be to admit responsibility. Unfortunately for Mr. [redacted], I have photographs of the table from before and after his company worked on it, that show the true condition of the table.
The bottom line is Superior ruined my table. I notified them of this in writing on the delivery receipt, and that I would have to have the table repaired to correct what they had done. Did [redacted] ever inquire as to how they could assist? No. Did he ever offer to make things right? No. He has repeatedly done everything he could to avoid his responsibility.
I [redacted] not spend additional time demonstrating to Mr. [redacted] that which he already knows to be true.
He is knowingly and willfully making false statements in order to mislead the Revdex.com and evade his responsibility. His continual repetition of these false statements indicates he has no intention of doing the right thing.
If Mr. [redacted] finally acknowledge their mistakes and offer to make things right, then this can be resolved through the Revdex.com. Otherwise, it [redacted] be resolved in court, where Mr. [redacted] can perjure himself, at much greater cost to Superior.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/06/24) */
We stand for what we did. Mr. [redacted] is confused about his table.
Best Regards,
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2015/07/03) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Since Mr. [redacted] not own up to his responsibilities unless compelled to do so, this [redacted] be resolved in court.
