Ms [redacted] had an agreement with Auto Management Inc(AMI) to assume the payments on a [redacted] . We agreed to accept her deposit of $2,000, to deliver the vehicle to her and to make a payment arrangement on the balance owed over the following days. AMI discovered the Colorado license plates had not been renewed since the owners of the vehicle had moved to Mississippi a year before. The cost of renewing the license plates to include the year in arrears and the year to come was $1,170. The owners of the vehicle agreed to pay half of the cost of renewal to cover the period they had possession of the vehicle and AMI informed Ms [redacted] that she needed to pay half the cost to cover the period she would have the vehicle. Ms [redacted] believed that the owners should pay the entire cost of renewal and, since that was not an option, she demanded the return of her deposit. We agreed to return her deposit as soon as we were able to place the vehicle with another party. On Friday, May 18th, AMI delivered the vehicle to a new user and on Monday, May 21st, AMI refunded Ms [redacted] ’s deposit in full

We have been in communication with the party who filed this complaint? Because they paid the July payment on their vehicle before contacting our company, the company refunded the payment directly to their personal account? Since then, the August payment on their vehicle was paid ? They have recently been in communication with the party ( [redacted] ) who has their vehicle to renew the registration and, to the best of my knowledge and belief, all is well at this time

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Myself and Auto Management Inc entered into another agreement for a *** once I was made aware of the expired plates on the *** and the owners unwillingness to renew the platesI had already submitted the deposit days earlier when Auto Management Inc made me aware of this issueI was given an ultimatum to either select another vehicle (which I did) or wait until this vehicle was placed in order to receive my deposit backNeither of these options are included or ? verbally referenced in said agreementAlthough I finally received my deposit, I’m not remotely satisfied with this outcomeThe *** was offered to me by AMI and agreed upon by both parties and that agreement simply was not honoredThe was no follow up to arrange shipping, endless ignored correspondence and no cancellation by AMI for this agreementAs a professional courtesy I should have been informed that this agreement was not either able to or going to be honoredIt has cost me time and money as result to retain transportation on the notion that I would be assuming a lease for this vehicle in addition to retaining the services of a law firm in Colorado to rectify this matterWe were literally a day away from filing a civil suitIt’s simply unacceptable business practices and customer serviceReturning my deposit almost a month and a half later doesn’t nullify that fact or the inconvenience
Sincerely,
*** ***
