Superior Floors

Review: Superier Floors sent a White male, sales representative to me home on Sept. 9, 2013. He arrived late, and appears to be unbalanced. He made constant insults about President Obama, and racist remarks against Blacks. He continued these insults with making racist remarks about stating Trayvon Martin. The sales rep. also made insulting remarks and derogatory remarks about homo sexuals. He spoke really loud, and would not leave the premises. He continually stated that he is a born again Baptist Christian, and make deragotory remarks about other religions. This racist, homophomic, and UNPROFESSIONAL conduct from Superior Floors staff is outrageous. I will be reporting this misconduct to all parties. Superior Floors should not be allowed to conduct business spewing their personal religion, race, sexual beliefs. Superior floors advertises that they provide professional, fair business service to all customers. The did not provide this.e I am requesting a written apology.Desired Settlement: A written apology

Thank you for the opportunity to answer these misunderstandings.

I would first like to address the timing issue with the homeowner. When she called for the appointment, we gave her an hour time frame, as we do with everyone that calls for an estimate (i.e. 9:00-10:00, 1:00-2:00, etc.) When planning out the day for estimates we try and judge how long it will take to do each estimate, plus driving time, it is not an exact science. On occasion, we run late due to homeowners having extra rooms they want measured, more questions, and heavy traffic, which was the case this particular day. The estimator got to the residents home about 10 minutes late. Upon arriving, he apologized to her right away, explaining that he had come from over an hour away from the last estimate and that traffic was very bad. She accepted his apology and they began talking about her job. (As a matter of fact, we try very hard to stay on schedule and are complimented weekly, how timely and courteous we are.)

Secondly, let the conversation be clear. As the estimator was measuring her home, they were talking and the conversation turned to the economy. He said The last 5 years have been the worst I have ever seen in back to back years and in my opinion it is because this administration is no friend to small business. She angrily disagreed with him and got upset. The homeowner took it to another level and stated that black people were 150 years behind white people in this country and that they should get restitution for slavery. He disagreed with her and she called him a racist. He told her he didn't hate anybody, he was a Christian man. The conversation seemed to escalate from there.

At no time did she ever ask him to leave her home. After he finished measuring her home, they went outside and she followed him out to his van and asked him if he was still going to give her an estimate, which he did not do.

Thirdly, I would like to address the issue of being unbalanced. The man that did the estimate for this homeowner does not drink or do drugs. He is not unbalanced in any way, shape or form. He was neatly dressed in a Superior Floors shirt, jeans and clean shoes. His hair was cut and he was clean shaven. He is a professional estimator with a lifetime of experience.

Superior Floors, nor the estimator, wishes to upset the homeowner in any way. This is not our practice and never has been. Please accept our apology.
