Superior Healthcare Group Ohio Reviews (%countItem)

Superior Healthcare Group signed me up for a loan which I did not request. I went to Superior Healthcare Group of Ohio on 4.5.19 due to a Facebook ad I saw offering stem cell therapy to help with movement. I'm 77 years old, blind, in a wheelchair. I made an appointment against the advice of my regular attending physician. I was told shots would cost $5700 each. I said I'm on Disability adn cannot afford the shots. I was told not to worry about it because I had good credit. I said that doesn't matter, I can't afford it. They told me not to worry about it, just sign these papers. I asked what the papers were as I couldn't read them as I am blind. They put their finger on the lines where I was to sign. They told me it was permission to treat, adn something about Venereal Disease. I asked what the other papers were for and they said not to worry about it. Jessica came in and gave me a shot which hurt worse than anything I ever felt, and I pushed out five babies. My leg is still bruised today. In any case, I received a bill from *** in June saying I owed $10,000. I called Superior Healthcare, but no answer. I called ***. *** said I owed $10,000, that I had signed up for a loan for two stem cell shots.I said I hadn't. I told them I would not pay it. They continue to send me billing statements every month. They have never sent the original loan agreement. I got a call today from Dave from *** today. he wanted me to verify my social security number and date of birth. I said I would not provide any PII to him. His records should show that i"ve told them many times this isn't my debt, I didn't apply for financing. I think Superior Healthcare has gone out of business, they aren't on E Main anymore, and I can't reach them. This is elder financial abuse. I have also reported this to the *** and the *** office. I have filed a complaint against *** w/the Atlanta Revdex.com against *** complaint # 27737421.

From: Jessica T ***Date: Fri, Apr 17, 2020 at 7:22 PMSubject: 14168548Patient disputes the loan agreement: *** says she answeredan ad for stem cell therapy, but didn't know why she was getting theloan?First: I was only an employee of the company. It is not my company nordo I have control over loans, financing etc. and I am not a part ofthe consultation portion, she had met with a consultant who went overeverything exactly as written in the purchase agreement.Standard office procedure:First patients are explained the process of rejuvenative cellulartherapies and how they work (often with a powerpoint). Then thepatient is xrayed to see if they are even a candidate for theprocedure. I am often consulted at this stage to discuss the xrayswith the consultant (not the patient), and approve the patient for theprocedure based on the x-rays and the health questions gathered. The consultant then returns to the room to discuss the treatmentoptions as well as assist the patient with financing.Once the patient has chosen which treatment option they want to gowith, a sales agreement is written and takes multiple signatures tocomplete. The sales agreement discusses things like which treatmentoption the patient has picked, which joints are being treated, whatthe company has agree to in terms of care and further therapies (suchas PT, or other injections), other appointments, and that thetreatment outcomes are not guaranteed etc. Then either financing isthen secured or payment is made. The office used *** or ***
***Once all the paperwork is signed and completed the patient is thenbrought into the treatment room where they fill out a pain scorespecific to the joint they are having treated. This patient inparticular filled out the The Western Ontario and McMasterUniversities Osteoarthritis Index for the knee.I then enter the room and discuss the degenerative nature of thespecific joint through examining the knee. This included questionssuch as:How long have you been in pain? What has helped your knee pain?Do you have weakness when taking stairs? Does it click when walking?Does weather affect your pain? What activities cause pain?... and so forth. Many of the questions are related to the pain scale answers thepatient has given. The patients is then given a physical exam with the joint, ROM, andpain triggers all discussed and examined.I then discuss the consent form. I discuss how the product is evaluatefor disease, and the donors that it comes from. I explain that thereis potential for an allergic reaction or infection. I discuss the partof the consent that discusses the patients after care and what weexpect of them over the next several weeks. The consent form isthoroughly discussed so the patient understands the potential risk aswell as that the treatment is not guaranteed. At this time once the patient is ready and understands and has had allquestions answered I will then set up for treatment. The treatment is then administered using standard medical protocol.I often use lidocaine to help numb the skin before the procedure. After the injection, I re-discuss the expected after careinstructions, as well as walk the patient up to the front to bescheduled for their follow up appointment. On July 8th 2019 *** came into the NEW office in Gahanna sayingshe was not feeling any better and her "shots' were not working, thather knees were sore. (so her story of we went out of business becausewe are not on main st any more is a bunch of baloney, we are not onmain st, but she has been to the new office).I then sent in medication to help her cope with the arthritis pain. Itwas still early as some patients dont have improvement until after 6months.I believe Dr. Walker may have offered her laser treatments or may havedone laser treatments on her as well, but I'm not positive.Starting in the fall of 2019, I had started working for a differentcompany, but would occasionally meet previous patients because thecompany's main office is in ***. Usually once a month. The phonenumber for the office is forwarded to the main office, and the patientcoordinator is not always at her desk or available to answer thephone. She usually calls back patients who have left messages within 3days.I never had any indication that the patient was unaware of what shesigned or what her treatment entailed. I have spoke to her multipletimes on the phone, patient never indicated she wasn't aware. Patientclaims she is blind and didn't know what she signed, but everythingwas over explained. Now, her chosen therapy may not of been aseffective as she had hoped, which is more likely, because it took herover a year (the approximate healing time to assess if therapy hadfailed), in order for her to complain. After the July meeting withher, I never heard from her again, which is common for patients whoare doing better or are seeing improvement.Let me know if there is anything that doesnt make sense or that is confusing. My cell ***--Jessica T ***Regenerative & Aesthetic Medicine--

Customer Response • Apr 30, 2020

Consumer's rejection taken over phone by Revdex.com staff:
I disagree with what the business said. It was not explained to me what the procedure involved and what some of the possible side effects may be. I was told the costs of treatment. I told them I could not afford that. I was asked if I could make small payments, but they did not explain what that would involve. I thought this would be a payment arrangement directly with the practice.
I was given papers to sign and they did not read the papers to me. I told them I could not see to know what I was signing. I was told the first paper was my authorization for them to give me the shots in both knees. I was not given lidocaine on 1st knee, but was given the lidocaine shot in 2nd knee. Jessica gave me the shot.
The 2nd paper I was asked to sign was that the stem cell used was from a donor who did not have HIV.
I was given other papers to sign, about 6 or 7 papers. I asked what I was signing, as I could not read them because I have macular degenerative disease in my eyes. I told them I could not see, so I did not understand what I was signing. I was told don't worry, I would receive copies of the papers before I left the office, but I was not given any papers.
I later got paperwork/billing statement from *** for the financing. My daughter read the billing statement to me when I got them in the mail. I called *** and they asked me if I received the treatment. I told them yes, but I did not sign any finance paperwork. During the phone call, *** never told me I signed any paperwork. They asked for my social security number, but I would not give it to them.
I also never received a phone call from anyone nor did I ever speak to anyone after my first visit. I never received a prescription from the practice.
I also never visited the new office...only the Main St office. I was not aware that there was a new office.
I am asking that the practice contact *** financing that the loan be forgiven. I did not know I was signing a finance agreeement, it was not explained to me and I could not read it to know what I was signing. Therefore I will not pay for it.
